★★★★★ The most delicious iranian food I had in my life.
★★★★★ Decent looking restaurant, friendly staff, and very good food. The meat is extremely fresh as the restaurant is owned by the same family that owns the butcher shop in the retail mall. One of my favorite places for koubideh.
★★★★★ Came here last sumer and it was great. So I came back again 2 days ago and it was the same (still awesome!!!) :)
Koobedeh for the WIN!!!

★★★★ Iranian halal grill food @ moderate
price. Ordered #4 Jojeh Kabab their
version of Bone-in Chix Kabab one to eat-in
★★★★★ This is one of the best places if you your looking for flat out really good meat. I always get the bargh (I think that's how it's spelled) steak. It's always perfectly cooked. The free bread, yogurt and pepper sauce they give you for an appetizer is excellent as well. The atmosphere is great and the place is very clean. All in all a great place to go for a perfectly cooked meat
★★★★★ I've been going here since it has opened years ago. I knew the owners and bought meat from their butchery (in the back of the restaurant) plenty of times before.
1. This place is clean, and looks good and has clean bathrooms. I would definitely recommend bringing guests over.
2. The food tastes good and does not take too long to make.
3. The prices are decent and even good in comparison to where it is located.
4. Owners are nice and good muslims. The food has always been 100% halal and no alcohol has ever been served.
The rice is usually not hot, so it takes some of the taste away. I prefer my food hot, and it bothers me a bit that it's not hot enough. It's not something most people notice, but for a near perfect restaurant, I've got to have some request for improvement.
★★★★★ I've eaten here several times now and I have never been disappointed. The service is great, the food is better, all around a excellent place to eat.
★★★★ Had lunch here today and was very impressed. Definitely one of the better Kubideh Kababs in DC. The brother at the counter was very friendly and took time to explain the menu to me. The place was packed (which is a good sign). I will try to revisit and try other items. I recommend this place.
★★★★ Came from out of town, followed zabihah user's comments and went to Sadaf! Food was impeccable. Authentic persian. A bit pricey for the service though. For the price the establishment could offer real cutlery and plates. Grilled meat is hard to handle over disposable plates with plastic cutlery. Someone should drop that suggestion by the owner.
★★★★ I have enjoyed Sadaf food multiple times.
Menu is little average with low selections but food is good.
★★★★ Awesome food, good quantity. Only one beef, it is closed on Mondays :)
★★★★★ I went there after looking at the reviews here. If you like Middle eastern food, then this is the place, very nice, excellent food, very clean, great service. I will go there again, as I am found of Middle Eastern food. Highly recomended.
★★★★★ Been here once and we really liked it. Yes, the kubidah was amazing. We ordered extra single kubidahs for all of us (listed on last page of the menu.) Rice was excellent. Everything else, chicken, lamb, etc, was cooked with care. We were hoping they would have the tangy white sauce many afghan places have, but guess they are persian and not afghani. Chatni was good, though, and food was flavorful enough by itself.
★★★★★ i have gone to sadaf so many times and each time i leave absolutely satisfied. the kubidah is amazing and the lamb is always charred to perfection. the rice is made perfectly and the service and decor are excellent. definitely go here. the only downside is that not many people know about it, so usually the place is rather empty which feels a little odd because it's considerably large. but that's something we can change....
★★★★★ I have eaten in many Halal restaurant cross the nation. Sadaf is one of the best with their food quality, and having such a freindly staff. this place is so clean that you will be amazed. food test is the closest to one we used to eat in Iran. You have to try this place!
★★★★★ Very clean, excellent service. The rice is cooked to perfection and the meat (beef & chicken)is very moist.
★★★★★ THE BEST!
Especially the GYROS...this place is a GREAT EAT and Great Price
★★★★★ Excellent food (I went with the chicken and beef shish kabob combo - spectacular break also came with it), and even more impressive (for me at least) excellent eating area. Most of the halal places I eat at are pretty crappy. This place is really nice and clean with good tables. I wish more halal restaurants would learn from this place and invest a little more in their eating areas.
The owner's a real nice guy. While my food was being made, he was telling me all about the place and his future plans and everything. Everyone was nice to me. The owner even gave me a free mango juice and an extra bread because we talked for so long. (No, this good review is not a result of his bribery).
Location's a little tough to find, so it takes a sec to find this place since it's on the side. And they need to start having later hours. Because of the nice setting, I think this could be a very cool late night hang out spot.
★★★★★ Excellent food, curtious staff, highly recommended
★★★★★ This is a restaurant run by the same management as Gourmet Halal Meat right around the corner from it. All the meat is HALAL. The food is wonderful. And the prices are great!
★★★★ Sadaf is an excellent addition to area halal restaurants. The seating, location and parking are the best among all. People are very courteous and accommodating and halal is as authentic as you can get.Food is excellent.Dr. Yameen Zubairi
★★★★★ The kubedeh kabab was excellent!
★★★★★ The owners are the same people who own the best halal meat store in the area--the gourmet one that's also on rockville pike.
