 | ★★★★ Nice place, Some dishes are good some are average, it depends on your taste. They had a halal sign on main entrance but owner said they are redecorating some stuff so they removed but I asked him and he said that food is all halal. This place is worth giving a shot |

 | ★★★★★ We went there yesterday with a little hesitation after reading these reviews, but I can guarantee you, it was THE BEST FOOD I HAVE HAD FOR A WHILE....!!!!! OMG... The flavors were to die for, the sauces were perfect, not overly salty or sweet, just the perfect blend of spices and herbs, and had that Pakistani flavors that are hard to find. I think the owner is new and took over recently, I inquired about the meat and seems they use hand slaughtered zabihah, so everyone must try this place once at least.... |

 | ★★★ Went there 1 afternoon for lunch when we were in the area shopping. We ordered the Mongolian beef, spicy beef, and lo-mein lunch specials for $5 each. The servings were big portions, and reasonably tasty. Its decent place for fast food, kids enjoyed it, though nothing extraoridinary. |

 | ★ Food is not good.
Ordered soup, it stinked badly. The lo-mein was not cooked properly and they had no other starters than spring rolls. Would recommend to avoid this place. |

 | ★ I have yet to eat at a palace where me and my wife took one bite of the food, and we ended up throwing it out. It was absolutely horrible. I took this food to go, and it was THE worst food that i have ever had. This is not an understatement. Would never recommend this place. I ate at Jamaliah Garden in Houston, which was absolutely fantastic. This is not even close. Sorry but try again. |

 | NR Thank you very much for review. I'm a new owner and I would like to assure that our food is 100% HALAL because we respect our royal customers who sometimes travel several miles and sometime across the state to our restaurant because of HALAL food. (see below)

The Halal program at Townsend is sponsored and supervised by Halal Transactions of
Omaha. This Islamic organization overseas the processing of all the Halal poultry products
that we produce at all of our plants. The Halal procedure of Halal Transactions is based on
the Islamic Shariah and is approved by Muslim Ulama and religious Imams who provide
guidance on Islamic issues such as Halal. Our procedure meets the three basic requirements
for Zabiha Halal: Tasmiah by a Muslim in person, using a sharp knife to make a sharp cut on
front of the neck of the chicken (cutting through the trachea, esophagus and major blood
vessels) and thorough bleed out of the birds at time of slaughter. Therefore we produce
Zabiha Halal Chickens full time at all of our facilities. Furthermore, since all of our
chickens are naturally grown, healthy at time of slaughter, inspected by USDA officials and
they are treated humanely, Townsend's chickens are Tayyib Halal. All the Halal products
that we sell are labeled with a Halal Logo and each shipment is accompanied with a Halal
certificate issued by Halal Transactions.

 | ★★★★★ The food is very good here. The proportions are plentiful if compared with the prices. My personal favorite is General's chicken. If you like sesame chicken, but want a little more spice, then this dish is good for you. Teriyaki chicken is also very good. |

 | NR Just want to let people know that the owners are not Muslim any more!!!!!! My husband and I went to the restaurant couple of months ago, and my husband always likes to reassure that the place is zabihah halal, so he asked the girl working there if it is Halal, she said yes, but then my husband asked her if the owners are muslim, that's when she told us that the muslim owners sold that restaurant to her, and she's not muslim... But she also said that she kept the menu halal since most of their customers are muslims... So Don't know for sure if it is Zabihah Halal or not, So please do investigate, if you're a muslim and want to eat Zabihah halal meat, before you go there.. |

 | ★★★ Food tastes good but I have several problems with this place. Menu lacks variety, they serve you the whole order in 1 bowl. Quantity is very good but the BOWL idea is not good. The rice/noodle is completely hidden with the vegetable all lying on top. They can definitely serve it in a plate so it will look plenty and presentable.
Other thing is not a great sit down place and looks very dull and boring.
But again, whatever few items they have on their menu the taste of almost everything is above average and good.
The environment can presentation needs work though. |
