★★★★★ .great and wonderfull food , some review under-rated this restaurant , i dont know way ,I think this is the only retaurants that specialize in serving only Italian cuisine.
The place's decor is nice,, clean and inviting and the Owner Ali is the very polite
The food was delicious, fresh and tasty. the buffet was great i loved the strompoli. My wife and my brother loved the Lasagna, alfredo chicken and the pizza and Manicotti was so good .every body like the food.
This place definetely the best italian food ever.
★★★ Geez, I wish the Italian food was as good as the service. The staff and owners were very courteous and friendly. I would recommend this place if you are easily impressed by a buffet and the price. I think the chef can turn up the volume on the seasoning, spices or herbs. Other than that cozy and clean place.
I have been wanting to come here because of reading all the good reviews. Anyway I was mislead by the reviews very badly. (Also I am noticing that all the good reviews have 5 stars and all the poor reviews are one star and no average stars which looks fishy). I went for their dinner buffet excited that they will serve many items but they only had maybe 5- 6 dishes. And then pizza and stombolli was extra. The pasta dishes were not good they barely had any real meat in them, most of their meat seemed like deli style meat like sausage and bologna not realy meat. that too there was barely any meat. Like someone stated on here the only real good item was their pizza. their chicken alfredo pizza is good. But not that great.
needless to say the owner was nice and polite , resturant was clean and neat. But they really need to work on their food.
Il Palazzo Buffet & Grill responds: assalamualikum brother i tryed to send you an email but it didn't go threw ,do you know how hard it is to get halal meet ,we use top of the line halal meet and we dont have deli and bologna meet ,and about 6 dishes you right its 6 dishes and ,pizza and pasta ,we charge 7.99 what do you think i have to put in the buffet ,and we open this restuarant to for our muslim cominty ,and all the reviews written by real coustmers like you .you said i was polite and the pizza was good and the place was clean. Do you think we deserve more than one star ,thanks for your suport for our mouslim communitity .
★★★★★ Excellent, italian, buffet style restaurant. Food is delicious and ambiance is very nice. The food is pretty good, the restaraunt is big and airy. I come here for lunch, and dinner Great concept and service. I love the fact that you can walk in and be eating fresh food with in minutes. Awesome selection of salads, grilled items the buffet is very good and you pay at the end. Not pricey either. I would recommend you to try it.
★ I was misled by the previous good reviews. The food was much worse than any typical Italian pizza/pasta/food chain you can think of (Pizza Hut, Ci-Ci's, Olive Garden etc.) They had some kind of carrot/mayonnaise dessert. When I tried it, it was so bad that I had to spit out. At some point the waiter came and ask how the food was. I told her that people could get sick because the carrot food was bad and old (April 19, 2012). When I asked her when it was made, she said yesterday. Probably she was not expecting such a question. When I made another trip to the buffet, the carrot was gone and replaced by melon.
This is probably the only single star rating I submit for a restaurant.
★★★★★ we try ilpalazzo 3 times i think this is the best italian food and pizza i ate ever .i talk with one of the employed work in il palazzo and he told me the owner work in this bussnis over 20 years no kidn that way the food is so yammy he told me they do every thing frome scratch,we try alot of pizza ,very generouse toping and cheese, and its halal
★★★★★ i never did review this my first one This place is amazing excellent food we was 16 people ,I had the philly steak from here and it was the best I've ever but every body els ate the buffet ,the said its the best italian food ever i give ilpalazzo 5 star i higly recommended.
★★★★★ one of my friend said lets try the ilpalazzo we ate mashallah ,we was very happy and the food alot better than pizza hot and olive garden ,anothe family was there told us the ilpalazzo chosin as the best pizza and the best italian food in richardson ,we realy like the food and the service we will back for sure
★★ Honestly this 5/5 ratings must be enployees, family members or friends. I am not sure if it is just me or my family but this isn't the best Italian food in Richardson. Service depends on what time you go. Lunch time I guess is the best time if there could be a best time. I am sorry if I am offending the owner and or staff. The best item on their medicore buffet is the pizza.
Il Palazzo Buffet & Grill responds: salam brother inshallah u and your family doing good .way all the reviews done in the same day.the 27 .thats meak me thinking . and we never asked any one to wright any things trust me we know we have the best italian food in the area we voted # 1 italian and pizza in richardson any way i wish if you come her and show me what u didnt like salam.
★★★★★ mashallah we came out here to celebrate a friend's birthday tonight and were really satisfied with our meal, The place is super cute . We had one and were seated right away,For our meals we had the buffet i try their famous lasagna and it was everything and more. It's perfectly rich and light at the same time with a mix of beef and veal deliciousness! our friend got the buffet alot of pastas and pizzas and calazon and salads It was the perfect place to celebrate. The staff is super nice and attentive. The food was amazing. We can't wait to come back
★ The food was very bad. Their buffet is nothing but full of cheap pasta dishes. The food was cold and had no flavor at all. Salads were not fresh. Italian food is more than just pasta dishes.
Il Palazzo Buffet & Grill responds: salam i dont kno how to start all the bad review look like been don by the same people its funny becouse if u ate at ilpalazzo u will c we have moor than pasta,u didnt c the pizza and the fruits, and the disserts, and the calazon ,any way i dont know thers cheep pasta and not cheep pasta,my brother we used top of the line food and u most welcom to try the food .thanks

★★★★★ we consideril palazzo one of the best italian food in the area great buffet and the besst pizza in dallas county for sure highly recommend
★★★★★ This place is tops. Great, friendly service. but this is NOT the place to rush a meal. Take your time. Enjoy every bite and every sip.
was amazing and homemade food for sure
Great atmosphere, amazing food and friendly service. We had a table of 7 but my wife and I will be back to enjoy what promises to be an excellent date night
This is the most under-rated restaurant in Dallas area Period.
I dont think there are any retaurants that specialize in serving only Italian cuisine.
The place's decor is awesome, ambience was nice, clean and inviting and the Owner Ali is the most polite considerate gentleman.
The food was delicious, fresh and tasty. Some of the dishes are Ali's mother's recipes which are awesome. The owner also added customized dishes to our buffet for me since I am diabetic and cannot eat certain food. My wife loved the Lasagna, alfredo chicken and the pizza and Manicotti was simply Heaven.
Ali also hooked us up with his special sage tea which was like like the most awesome tea Ive ever had.
This place definetely rocks and I give it 2 thumbs up !
I also urge you to overlook this huge negative blob of a review at the bottom and give this place a shot.
If there is something you do not like, talk to Ali, he listens and no Im not related to Ali and I wasnt paid to write this review. :)
★★★★★ Came here with a few friends from NY and we all thought this place was absolutely amazing. The owner, think his name was Ali, took really good care of us. He went above and beyond. Food is excellent as well. Amazing pizza, pasta, Stromboli, everything was just awesome. I cant say enough good things about this place.
★★★★★ we try the food 5 times every time mashallah excelent the service is very good the owner very nice let us to try teramisu ,and we was 11 people all of my friend like the food thanks alot for il palazzo.
★★★★★ Excellent Pizza spot. A couple us were visiting from NY and we were blown away by the standard, quality and taste of the food. The service provided was impeccable and unmatched. 5*****
★★★★★ Great food
★★★★★ Got there a little late for the buffet (10pm), but the kind owner agreed to let us have the buffet anyway (and it was still GREAT) while also having the kitchen make us some fresh lasagna and stromboli. My wife LOVED the stromboli. The fettuccini alfredo was really good. I love Italian food so this place was awesome and the owner was really nice.
NR Honestly, ok food
★★★★★ I would like to say Thank you to Ali ( the owner ) for being very hospitable to my family. I have used zabihah for along time and just registered so I can show my appreciation which went above and beyond on his part . We have been to this restaurant three times and the last time was for iftaar . It was also my daughter's birthday ( Ayesha) who turned four . They went out of their way and made a dessert for my daughter , asked our requests for extra dishes in the buffet and made it a very memorable experience . One thing I will mention after reading other reviews which made me write this review is that if you feel like the food is under average or is in limited quantity let them know your concerns and they are very good at listening to you and make sure you have a good experience. My only complaint would have been is that majority of there buffet pizza are either chicken or vegetarian and I think a halaal pizza should always have pepperoni and sausage :)......... Just my two cents as a happy and loyal customer .
★★★★★ The inside is beautfully decorated and goes with the theme of the restaurant. The music is very calm and relaxing. The owner likes to talk to the customers to make them feel welcome and as if they are at home. On top of that the food is always fresh and hand made. All the meats are halal so its easier and more conventent for the adults and children to decide what they want. Theres always pizza, pasta, and salad. You can even ask for a certain dish such as wings, desert, or a sub. Great service and a friendly atmosphere. Reservations are available if needed so you can reserve a spot for your family and friends.
Its a little hard to choose what to eat due to the variety of Italian dishes. I went up to the line about six or seven times just to try as much as i could.
All in all the food is great, the place looks good, and my family and i enjoyed our time.
★★ Worse ever buffet I have ever had. I was reading previous reviews and thought food will be good. First of all there are only 4 or 5 or may be less food items are on the buffet and half of them were gone and the rest food items were about to burn.
★★★★★ My new favorite food (Italian) I am not one to try new foods but with this Italian buffet I was trying everything.I had never cared for lasagna until I ate there's. It was wonderful. The chicken alfredo is what I always eat, now after trying other dishes on the buffet I would have a hard time picking my favorite. Oh yes, love their pizza. I don't even mind driving from Mesquite to Richardson. Everything was so clean. Everyone is always very friendly and service is good. I'll be back soon.
★★★★★ A friend and I visited this restaurant recently. I had been told how good the food was. The staff was friendly and did all they could to make our visit a pleasant one. We each had the buffet which had a great variety of Italian dishes. Some I'd never tried before such as the Chicken Parmesan. It was really good. Their pepperoni pizza was really good, not too thick or too heavy on the sauce as so many places are, at least from my perspective. The lasagna was really good as was everything I had including the cheesecake. Whenever I am on that side of town, I'll be stopping by to try other dishes. The owner was very friendly and came by the table to make certain that everything was to our liking and to see if he could do anything to make our experience even better.
★ I decided to come here for iftar after finding a coupon (via the company Groupon) that was for 2 adult dinner buffets for $10 dollars. After reading the reviews on here I was excited to try what I thought would be an excellent italian meal. I was wrong. This place was not only awful in terms of the food, but the owner was both rude and manipulative. To start off with, as soon as we entered we made clear that we were planning on using the Groupon for our meal. Upon showing him the groupon, he stated that he would not honour it because it was for a "dinner buffet" and now it was the "iftar buffet". He then lied to me about the usual dinner timings, saying it was only 7-8 and then changing his mind later to 6-8, he told me that it said on the website that the groupon would not be redeemable during iftar time (which I checked later and found out was false). After asking him kindly to consider making an exception since it was nearly iftar time and since there was no way of us knowing this beforehand, he finally said "ok fine go ahead" in a very rude tone. Now as we took our seats and started waiting, an argument broke out between another party of non-muslims who had been also dining in with the same groupon deal. When it came time for them to pay, the owner told them that he would not honour their coupon either, and they became understandably upset. He was asking them to pay full price from what I heard, and claimed that it "wasnt his fault that groupon made a mistake". He kept saying that groupon was for a "dinner buffet" and that it was "iftar buffet" now. From the way he was arguing you could tell that he was just trying to get as much money out of these people as he could. He became increasingly ruder saying things like "this is my restaurant and you will pay whatever i say, i had nothing to do with that groupon, they made the price by mistake and i shouldn't have to honor it" (which btw is nonsense, groupon doesn't make deals without the owners consent). Either way, this argument ended in the party paying full price and then walking out angrily. On the way out they said "this business isn't going to last" which honestly I think is 100% true now. And in response to this, he followed them out onto the street and started yelling at them "I swear to god I have never seen a person as cheap as you!!! I swear to god!!!" I couldn't hear the rest of what he said because the door closed behind them, but everyone in the restaurant was shocked. I have never seen such an unprofessional display. I hope the owner understands that he just lost several customers forever. To finish off this horror story, when the time came to pay, he ended up charging me anyways for the difference between full price and the coupon price, which was ridiculous and manipulative. At this point I just paid what he was asking in order to avoid fighting and arguing with someone during Ramadan. But I had to come here and post this story so that other people can avoid having a terrible experience like this. Also, since I realized I forgot to comment on the food, here you go (I will review it while trying to keep this situation from biasing the actual quality of the food inshAllah):
Food was below average. Honestly, it was. There were only about 10 - 15 dishes, as opposed to the 20 advertised. And of those, all the italian dishes were completely subpar. The alfredo was watery, the pasta too. the lasagna was hard, and the pizza was worse than cicis. There were a couple of decent dishes, but other than that I left completely unsatisfied. I am honestly shocked at how this place has so many good reviews, and it makes me wonder if they are all written by actual customers... hmm.
So all in all, everything I have said here is the truth. And I feel in my heart that this business is being run by someone who is dishonest and mean, so be wary when you decide to spend your night here. You will regret it.
Salaam and may Allah forgive if I have said anything excessively mean... only trying to be honest.
Il Palazzo Buffet & Grill responds: salam i wish allah will forgiv u and forgiv us too.brother u come her to eat iftar buffet i told u we dont honour the groupun at iftar time u said pls let us use it we fasting and no time to go to another place i said ok u can use it i was not rude to u couse i let u use ur coupon, the coupon u have it was 8.99 and the iftar buffet it was 10.99,so how u whant to use it , and u know we dont honour it at iftar time , we change the food at 8 and u eat the new items in the buffet ,the dinner time in ramadan stop at 8 for the non muslim people ,and about non muslim people the only proplem was about they whant to drink wine in side the store and i said no they was mad at me when i said no and i told them we rar muslim and we cant let them drink wine by the way they call me and they said sorry and they will come again , way you didnt said that in ur review, u asked me if u can pray u and ur sister i said yes and was very nice with u ,about the food u know and every body eat at the elpalazzo what kind of food we have,in the buffet was 26 items at the iftar time,we chang the alfrido dish 3 time at the iftar time and u know that .and my brother i never said this is my restaurant and u will pay what ever i say .lol this funny.i was very professional with the wine people thats way they call me and said sorry ,but my adivse to you befour u buy groupon call and asked ,so u will not be confused again, and pls come and try the food again and its free this time for u salam .
★★★★★ I've been using zabihah.com for a while to locate halal restaurants, but today finally decided to register so I can express my views on the quality of food. I ordered a bunch of different stuff so the entire family can enjoy it during Iftar. The food and service is hands down one of the best in town. If you enjoy sandwiches or Italian food, then you will surely love this place. The owner, Ali, made me comfortable that they use zabihah halal meat. I loved the philly cheese steak sub and cheese lasagna. I usually prefer beef over chicken, but did try a slice of their chicken vegetable pizza and it was delicious! Inshallah will try other stuff, and I recommend food lovers to try out this place!
★★★★★ Mashallah where to begin? First of all the restaurant has a very nice marble decorations outside and inside, it all looks custom handmade and well done.
We just had a small iftar party there with several families, they had a small area to pray and were provided a special fruit punch juice, traditional lassi and dates to break our fast.
The buffet is hands down the absolute best authentic zabihah halal Italian buffet I have ever had in my life. There were so many choices of dishes, some of the best items were the fresh beef pepperoni pizza, turkey sausage meat lovers pizza, chicken Alfredo pasta noodles and spaghetti with meatballs, also a good selection of Greek/Arabic dishes such as dolmas, kabobs, hummus and pita bread. After our meal the owner and his wife even brought us some traditional Arabic hot sweet tea and fresh hot kataif filled with sweet cheese and nuts. Very Highly recommended, this is the only Zabihah Halal Italian restaurant in the DFW area, very family oriented and the food was truly tasty and delightful, I will be coming back soon inshallah. :-)
★★★★★ Delicious food and courteous staff, what else can one ask from a restaurant? Today had buffet with a couple of friends and must say we were thoroughly impressed. The food is authentic Italian and as delicious as it can get. I would definitely recommend this place to food lovers.
P.S: Once done with the food do try out their mint tea
★★★★★ It was my first time at this place...The best Italian (Iftar) buffet...Great variety...
NR I called them to confirm if it is halal, I was told they buy meat from Sysco, restaurant depot and other places. I have my doubts if it is halal!
Il Palazzo Buffet & Grill responds: salam brother i am the owner of the ilpalazzo ,thanks alot for ur reviews, but i like to let u know my name is ali and i am muslim just like u ,all the food we have is zabihah halal we never use sysco and restaurant depot have alot of halal items ,i dont know who u call but we have only zabihah halal food. u most welcom to come and eat our food u will not be dissapointed.thanks
zabihah.com responds: Restaurant Depot carries certified Halal meats, so it is likely the meat is halal.
★★★★★ Just got back from our first visit to Il Palazzo. Authentic Italian food at great price and very courteous staff. We were the last customers of the night, past the buffet end time. The owner, Ali, personally welcomed us and took care of us. We ordered off the menu but the owner let us sample the buffet and let our kids eat from the buffet. I tried the Chicken parmesan and my wife tried the chicken Alfredo, both very good. The garlic bread was scrumptious. The taste really was authentic italian without any adulteration with Desi or Arab flavors. We had a long chat with the owner who is a very nice Palestinian fellow (also fluent in Hindi/Urdu) and has about 20 years experience in the restaurant business. Parking was easy to find. They also deliver locally. Overall an excellent halal Italian restaurant.
★★★★★ The best Italian buffet Pizza (my favorite).
The food is excellent, staff and about everything inside is looking wonderful, specially the buffet is arranged.

★★★★★ The food and staff was wonderfull. It was my sons 8 th birthday, so thay made him a special dessert pizza for free. The buffet had many choices of pasta , pizza, and salads. I had the chicken piccata, i love it! The restaurant is beautyfull. I just love the cut glass mosaic archway. I just found my favorite restaurant.
