Partitioned off by a wall of peg-board, the back room at Al-Amin Halaal Market is not so much a restaurant as it's a place for Somali guys to eat stew and hang out between prayers. The dining room has no sign to advertise it. It's accessed either through the grocery store or via a separate entrance on the corner of St. John and A streets, about a block from the Greyhound station. ★★★ Al Amyn is divided in 2 parts, one is the Grocery/Meat but not frozen ready to eat items but lot of roti, paratha and Middle Eastern/Somali limited but adequate selection, the cashier was very nice helping me with my queries as this was my first time in a Somali Grocery Store, Now the Second part was the restaurant the food served is Halal and traditionally Somali and from the African region, as I attended Juma Salat in a Masjid close by in which most Brothers were Somalian they were also seen after the Salaat here, the place was packed with old and young brothers and gave a feel like you are in a Muslim Neighborhood restaurant, NO sitting arrangement for Family but ample parking space outside if you are with family. The Food is good and reasonably priced
