★★  Tried bhindi masala, it was tasty but bhindi was old and crunchy. Chicken biryani was average. Naan was tasty. Not a clean place, better order for take away

I totally agree that they have expired stuff and the lady at the counter doesnt do anything about it. Except their chicken boti, everything else tastes bad. Everytime my wife and I ate there, we got upset stomach. Place is dirty too.

We have been going there for a few years and absolutely disappointed by the stuff that they have there. We don,t buy meat from there, only grocery. Many times I have seen expired stuff and informed the lady at the counter and she seemed to understand but next time there were still expired items. Once we bought 'mithai'( sweet) and when we opened it at home , we discovered that there was fungus on it..!! We do'nt go there any more..!

Unfortunately I have been going to bismillah for a while now, and have been disappointed more often than not. To the folks saying that their stuff is never expired, here are a couple of my experiences:
Me and my cousin found some expired pakolas in their cooler and asked them to get rid of it, which they promptly did... I was very pleased with their response! Next day we went back and the drinks were back in the cooler for sale!!! (I have pictures as proof too)
We asked them if their biryani was fresh and they said yes, so we ordered some. When it was served to us, it had a foul stench, so we complained. Someone came from the kitchen smelled it and just asked us what we wanted instead! An apology would have been great!
They might be good a few times, but are appalling most of the times.

★★★  The seating wasn't all that great but they sat us down inside in their banquet hall which was nice. The food was good, I loved their naans and their chicken seekh kabab were extremely delicious as well as their raaita (never tasted anything like it). We also ordered chicken korma and chanay but I wasn't too fond of those. Service was okay and they were very nice people.

They took very very long to prepare my order. The place is very dirty. Cannot sit there and eat.

★★★  I've always had problems with the assistant butcher that I believe used to work there. They always messed up my orders and once I had bought chicken keema from the outside cooler that had gone bad unfortunately. I believe they have changed that assistant now, but I prefer going to the meat shop across town now.

Their halwa puri sunday special is awesome though. Best halwa puri in Plano :)

NR  I love this store!!!! They sell the best meat, It is always fresh and their meat place never smells bad, unlike some other places where u can't even stand there because it stinks soo bad! Bismillah is so clean and organized!!!! You never have to look at packages to find the expiration date, because you don't have to worry about things being expired, I have checked plenty of time on spices and other things, and it is never expired! I like there food too, I have only tried the chicken boti roll over there, and it is really good. I do have one suggestion, they need to make their chat more spicy and it needs a lot more salt and a good Imli ki Chutney... Other than that everything is good at Bismillah!!!

★★★★  Since it is a grocery store therefore, you can pretty much only take out. However their daily specials are great. I like their nan (always fresh).

★★★★★  Market Review: HealthyEater likes cleanliness. HealthyEater likes friendly and welcoming shop assistants. Therefore, HealthyEater likes shopping at Bismillah.

Some complain that the prices at Bismillah are higher than those elsewhere. HealthyEater is of the opinion that any price differential between Bismillah and other Halal grocery stores is more than made up for by fresh stock (no expired merchandise found), a good selection of items and the clean environment of the store itself.
