★★★★★ I went to this place many times and the food was so good definitely recommend this
★★★★★ We ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and oriental burger. We are DEFINITELY going back! I don't know how it compares to non-halal but it was the best burger I had in a long time.
★ I went here and got the cheeseburger and fried platter. eww the burger was soo gamey and discusting and the fried platter was ok nothing special. the only thing that was good was the honey mustard sauce and i doubt they make it. never going back
NR Stopped there recently and had a Monte Christo sandwich. Wasn't the best one i ever had but having it be halal after not having one for 4 years it tasted great lol! Want to go back and try more. Staff was supper nice, and the place was clean. will definitely go back!
★★★★★ The hungry man burger is the best burger ive ever had in my life wallahi.
★★★★★ I stayed at a nearby motel while on a boxing trip. Ate here for dinner on the first night and breakfast the second. Had a delicious All American Beef Bacon burger for the dinner and a turkey ham omelet for breakfast. Tastes great- highly recommend.
★★★★★ Great price, large menu, everything is halal.
Service was flawless, the place was spotless clean.
The food was good, although I've had better burgers but this was really good too.
Try ordering from their "customer favorite" menu.
★★★ Big selection of burgers and wide variety of other items including wraps and paninis and breakfast fare. Food was made quickly and had good portion sizes BUT when I was done I went to the restroom and counted 4 cockroaches. If there were this many in the bathroom I shudder to think how many were in the kitchen area. I really hope they read this review and do something about the bugs. Id suggest buying some tubes of Advion roach bait, works better than the stuff from raid.
★★★★★ Honestly, i dont know what these people are saying about average food. The burgers are really REALLY good. I guess some people are always looking for more and more, and probably wont ever be satisfied.
If you are in the area, or are willing to drive... DO DO get the food. It is just great!!!
★★★ They do have a vast menu, but I honestly thought their food was average at best. Their service is amazing and price is reasonable. I have tried their food twice, and just not to my taste buds liking, and thus to each their own. Would I return - May be.
★★★★★ this place is great...the prices and portions are the best in the area..lots of healthy choices and the family who owns the restaurant are very friendly they will make anythiing u want just how u want it. the prices are very goood and the good is very tasty!!
★★★★ This place has it all! Breakfast, lunch dinner and snacks. They have burgers and Pizza and everything in between. The cheeseburger is real good as are the deli style sandwiches. The pizza was average but still tasty. Went with a group of 8 people and the owner gave us a little break on the pricing. I recommend this place.
★★★ The service was very good and it was clean and neat. The food though was average. We ordered some burgers and they tasted like they were more Desi then American. Also the pizza we had tasted like something that came out of a freezer. The idea is good but they need to work on getting the food better. Insallah the food will get better and this place will be here to stay.
★★★★ the restaurant isnt big its perfect for the staff to actually listen to you so they can get your perfect order, because large resturants are always loud and can giv you headaches. The environment of surayas grill is perfect for a calm family just wanting to have a delicious meal. The food is AMAZING!. The burgers are so juicy i just wanted to eat more even when i couldnt so i just packed my burgers to go. The staff is very friendly and is always ready for anything. This place is mashallah amazing. I definitely recommend it to everyone. if you dont believe what im saying then you have to go try it for yourself
NR After reading the reviews on Zabihah.com and looking at their menu on Facebook, I was very anxious to try this place. The menu and Facebook page showed the hours as 6:00am - 10:00am.
During the winter break, my family and I got up one morning excited to try their breakfast items, looked like the typical american diner selections but most importantly this was HALAL so we could have it. We got there at 9:25am. The place was CLOSED. There was a sign on the door with the hours listed as 10:00am - 10:00pm.
Okay, big disappointment but minor glitch. I probably should have called ahead. However, how do you advertise breakfast but open at 10:00am? Hopefully its not a sign that thy're already going downhill (like Rooq's steakhouse, which serves excellent steaks with mediocre sides although they charge fancy steakhouse prices).
I still want to try it and hope that the reviews are correct. Would loike to see another zabihah place suceed.
★★★★ I wont lie from the outside, and when you walk in it really isnt impressive at all but once you open the menu up, there is an impressive variety of burgers which is exactly what I came for. Very delicious, big, and juicy. Def will go again, and inshaAllah try their breakfast menu (if i wake up early enough)! Def would recommend.
★★★★★ Asalaam Aleikum,
*Nice Service. It's a family owned business, so the chef and his two sons are really friendly and gave us whatever we wanted. For instance, I am a picky eater, so whenever I asked to substitute the regular fries for sweet potato fries they said okay, when I asked for honey instead of the regular pancake syrup they brought it out, when I asked for salsa for my mexican omlette he gave it to me free of charge, and when I asked for swiss cheese instead of cheddar on my omlette he did so. Pretty cool.
*Angus Burgers are really good. My friend and I are usually pretty critical about our meat, so we were glad to finally find a big and tender burger which was only around $5 (they add $1.50 for fries, salad, coleslaw...filling).
*Can finally have some stinkin omlettes without going to IHOP. I love going to diners in NJ, but have not entered into one for so long since they all grill the eggs on the same grill as the meat and pork (IHOP was the only one that separated the eggs from the meat). The mexican omlette was pretty good (I personally asked for swiss instead of cheddar though).
* Get the french toast with ice cream topping, it's quite delectable (I would do some sit ups later though if you care about your weight.
* Free coffee and tea w/ breakfast (not sure if that's permanent, or just for the grand opening). But it's a nice perk.
* I came with my mom once, and she is a bit picky about everyone wearing uniforms and having fancy decor. She noted that the staff should all wear nice looking uniforms.
* I counted about six or seven tables. Which isn't bad now because they've only been open for two weeks (but I could see it getting crowded once this place picks up and gets busy insha Allah).
★★★★ Suraya's Grill definately falls into Central Jersey not North Jersey its in the same location as the Chicken Holiday was. Ive been here a bunch of times already and they just opened like 2 weeks ago. Their menu is the largest halal menu ive ever seen in my life. I kid not there are so many items on there, that you just end up staring at it tryinig to figure out what to get. Its always good to have variety and Suraya's def has that. Halal american breakfast? Dont know many places that offer that and it looks really appetizing, I'll have to try the breakfast items one of these days. So far i've only had the lunch items and my favorite so far has been the Chicken Parm sandwich. I am still looking for Suraya's signature item which will make it stand out from the rest, once i find it i'll let the world know. Besides that Suraya's staff is nice and friendly, make sure to check them out.
