★★★  I don't think the Bryani I had was fresh. I think it was microwaved. It was ok, though. The price is good. One plate of Beryani with Sprite 11$.

Took forever to get served even though we were the ones there! Ordered Chicken Tandoori and what I got was BLAND & BLOODY Chicken! My adult kids wanted to run out but we took comfort in ordering the Seekh Kababs which were just ok nothing worth mentioning. The interior seems upgraded compared to the messy dump the previous owner had made in this location. I would not recommend bringing friends or family here unless you want to be mocked for some time around O-town! Still on the prowl for that one favorite Halal Desi restaurant in Orlando.

★★★★  THIS place has done a recent remodeling and looks clean and nice for 2012 ...we ordered the chicken biryani and nihari both were good with plenty of meat unlike the other skimpers in the area .and their naans were fresh and delicious...we also ordered the mixed grill which was mostly chicken but it was a little bland mostly grilled chicken cubes

good small clean place recently renovated with brand NEW bathroom / good food with (new better management i think)

★★  Positives - staff was friendly and courteous. seekh kebabs were good. Negatives - food was average/below par, pricey with small quantities except for the additional order of rice for 1 that was enough for 4! The rest of the dishes were not cooked well - we ordered a chicken karahi that was undercooked. The mixed grill meats was pricey for the quantity and only the chicken seekh kebabs were ok(thought this was going to be beef) but the other pieces were tasteless. The final straw was the tea was just okay, disappointing after searching for an authentic Pakistani restaurant in the area.

Sign upfront states Gyro special. Slow day only one couple in there beside myself. Well ordered the gyro special, the gentleman checks with kitchen no gyro available so ordered the chicken wrap. Asked for the glass of water right from the time walked in. No water till the meal shows about 10 minutes later. No water in the toilet and dirty as well. Never was checked up if anything else was needed. Seems like all the desi restaurants take the customers for granted. Will NEVER recommend this place.

★★  they really shaft you on the portions, it's like there splitting 3 orders into 4 sometimes, and i guess it depends on whose on duty since the portions are very inconsistent, one day the identical item will be a fair expected amount, one day the same thing will be a generous portion and the next time a total ripoff!..most "american" places actually weight and measure there meals so everything is fair and consistent..it only takes a minute but means a lot if you want to keep your customers happy and returning...just a suggestion.

★★★  Coming for past 10 years time to time but the restaurant is getting worse every time, First thing ordered was CHAI the ceramic cup had lipstick stain and not washed properly, all the sugar pot were empty and dirty, Restroom were filthy, FOOD is still good but I am afraid to see the condition the Kitchen is, Use to be favorite place but if they want to stay in business they have to take drastic measures

i used to really enjoy coming out here in the past!..i can fondly remember how they used to have the best mix grills in town!..lol.the last time i went and ordered the mixed grill...she brought out a plate exclusively all chicken kebabs.lol..i says to her.."hey, this is suppose to be mixed grill with red meat..it's just white meat!"..and she goes "i think we ran out".."we had a big catering order and we ran out of meat"..(whose problem is that?..the customers?)..lol.so they decided to NOT consult the customer and just go ahead and bring out whatever's in the kitchen.lol.but my bill said "mixed grill"..and i was charged for it.lol..not the way to run a resturant..all she had to do was come back and tell me it's not available..and maybe i could of ordered something else...lol.not a big fan of surprises..and definitley don't appreciate getting hoodwinked on the bill!.and when i brought it up how the kitchen mix up and excuses are unacceptable..she just shrugged her shoulders and said.."next time you should call ahead and ask that way you don't havta come here if you don't like what we have"..i like what you HAD in visits prior, and i would like what YOU SAY YOU HAVE ON THE MENU..i would like WHAT I ORDERED AND WHAT IT SAYS ON MY BILL..i would like for you to INFORM THE CUSTOMER IF SOMETHING IS NOT AVAILABLE...no appreciation for customers at all!

agree with the last review, horrible service!!! we literally got yelled at because we wanted to know why our dish was not showing up, it was supposedly 'cooking' for 40 mins till we canceled it and went away hungry. they need a refresher course in mannerisms and etiquette 101, NEVER going back. canceled my last review here, which was an excellent experience, to replace this. this place does not know how to appreciate and keep returning customers!!!

I should have taken the warnings here more seriously! What a horrible experience, bad service and bad food. I have come here after a long time and shocked at the deterioration in quality of food and service. Worse was the attitude, 2 of our dishes were never served despite assurances that they are being cooked, we ate and sat around for 30 mins waiting for threat of the food that never showed up!! When we asked whether they were out of the dish we were told rudely its cooking and be patient or cancel the order, we were speechless. Apparently after talking to friends in the area they been doing it a lot to customers, since they have very limited menu now and possibly a mew cook but they refuse to admit that and instead make customers wait endlessly and misbehave with those who dare to ask reasons.

I cannot fathom how fast the quality of the food is deteriorating here over the past few months compared to previous years..The entree's we had are fairly common at typical indo-pak restaurants and i've purchased the same items over the years here too!..but last night, it was just terrible..probably the worst tasting..why is that i wondered?..i asked to speak with the owner..i was told the "boss" was not here,.then i asked to speak with the kitchen staff..reluctantly one was brought to my attention..who happens to be one of our friends from the south of the border, now i clearly see the problem..so there was no reason for me to say anything further,.all the right ingredients were there,.just poorly executed..i would go as far as to say i would not feed it to my pet.only because it was very bland and tasted like it was haphazardly put together, and sent out the kitchen, with total disregard to see if the batch came out correctly or could use additional spices and flavorings,.i gave up on this place,..why keep calling it "indian" restuarant?..when the recipes being cooked are being interpreted mexican style?

..i ordered takeout and was promised additional condiments were included with the order such as side salads and small yogurt dressing for the biryani and mint chutney for the chicken tikka..guess what?..NOT ACCOUNTED FOR!!!..this was after i received assurances from the staff member that everything was in the box..it is quite irksome for me when restaurants such as this one is very eager to hand you a charge slip but just brushes the customer off with a fib when promises are made..but the expectations are not met..also i have the tendacy to order the same items on each and every visit..(although after this one i have doubts about returning)..and this time the portions were noticiably smaller..just something to bear in mind if you are a regular customer..very poor service and inconsistent portions.

We visited from Detroit Michigan during the holidays in November 2009 and it was a very unpleasant experience with these people with the food charges/tips etc. While we were eating we heard other customers complaint about the price discrepancy what the owner's daughter charged extra for a dish and the desert. We had also some questions regarding the prices/tip etc. as well. The prices on the bill was different than what was written on the menu. When questioned regarding this discrepancy first she was very rude and later on the owner daughter started yelling on us when we asked her and she used bad words like bitch and f word which is very unpleasant. Not only unpleasant but insulting. These people especially the owner's daughter needs to pray 5 times and go to the mosque and get some advice from the maulana and learn some manners and should have a fear of allah. The name of the restaurant is Bismillah but not even 1% they follow what they put as their restaurant name. Even the father supported his daughter and did not do anyting when the customer complaint about it and the father said to the customer if you dont like it dont come any more. No apology no sign of customer service at all. We were really surprised and shocked and those who are with the family and believe in good manners should not try this restaurant at all. If you really read the comments from the different people you should believe what other customers say about it. We saw there review but we thought let's try it but we were shocked and surprised with both the owner and the daughter attitude and customer service. May allah give them toufiq, fear and learn some manners how to talk to the customers and other human beings. If you want to get insulted you could try and get humiliated and over charged. May allah bless them with kindness and good manngers.

★★★★★  This was the best food we ate in Orlando after eating from six other desi restaurants.
They were always busy, couteous staff at least one server . Nihari was really the best, Chicken roast excellent and kabobs were good too.
Price was reasonable.

★★★  During our vacation to Orlando from NJ/NYC area Me and family ate here two weeks ago upon friends recommendation... Let me tell you we were very disappointed with the appetizers...we oredered the 4 somosas $4.99 (thinking its the regular large somosas you get at all the desi resturants) ... more like mini bite size somoseeas...the 4 minis did not even make 1 somosa...boy I was was pissed...and they give you a small cup of ketchup with it...not even chutneys...gimme a break man. Fries were disgusting and made in dirty oil...you could see the grease stains on the fries from the dirty oil...chicken nuggets were mostly likely from those frozen Al-Safa packs you get at the desi mini marts. DO NOT ORDER THE APPETIZERS. The Chicken Biryyani and the Chicken Kabobs were good as well as the naans. Overall its a bit pricey...but the waitress (Janette...I think that was her name) was very nice and very polite. If this place had real appetizers and better presentation...it would be above average but from our experience its not worth going to more than once.

★★  I was there last week on my visit to orlando with my family. The name is 'Bismillah' but our own start was very bad. The waiter was very rude and seems to be in rush. I ordered three dishes from the menu and for our surprise none of the dish was available. We end up leaving the resturant without eating anything there.

They do not know how to cook. All BBQ items have the same flavor, and Karahi is the worst. Our order felt liked they added boiled chicken to the tomato sauce. On top of that, the owner/waitress is very rude. She has some attitude problem, which we felt by her sarcastic comments. The food is not worth the money and definietly not her insulting behavior.
Please do not ruin your vacation by going there.

The BBQ food was good. Chicken Karahi tasted pretty bad and felt like it was prepared by someone who does not know how to cook. The service was horrible and the server (owner) was extremely rude. I would never go back to this place and would not recommend any one to go there unless they want to be humiluated/insulted and have their vacation ruined.

Too paindu for me. I odered butter chicken (Chicken tikka makhni), I liked the sauce even though it was veryyyy soupy but for $8 I got 5 small pieces of boneless chicken AND THE CHICKEN WAS RAW!!! I asked them to take care of it, and the girl said "2 minutes".. I assured her that I'd wait for it to be cooked properly, don't rush it to bring it over in 2 minutes!..and guess what, they just microwaved the bowl & brought it back. I could even hear them in the back (kitchen) fighting a bit.. Just too weird! We were hungry when we went there but there are so many choices in the area. I'd neverrr go there again!
P.S. Turns out, a friend of mine also had a bad experience at this place... not surprised.

★★  These are the nicest people that know how to provide service in this demanding industry. The only problem was that we found hair in the food (twice) and that kinda put me off. the i got some steel fabric in the chicken and that was it for me. The taste is not bad, but nothing to write home about either. I shan't be coming here again purely because of the hygiene problem.

★★★★  The food was so good, i will go again, prices were ok, whole chicken was amazing, maghaz nihari was also good, but owner has to buy someone to serve and maintain the place, i found that girl was always busy inside the kitchen and customers were waiting for nans.

★★★  Food is ok , check your bill to match what you ordered and what was served , and NEVER NEVER for get any itmes in the restaurant because when you leave the place is gone even at closing time 11:00pm, this happened to me on Thursday june 5 after eating the dinner I left my digital camera bag on the chair, I realized when I reached home that I had left the camera called the ownerr and he assured me that after we left his restaurant there were no other customers and he closed the door and told me to be back next day at 12:00pm, I was back yesterday at 11:50am and he opened his restaurant at 12:08pm and guess what, he told me that he did not see the camera bag and acting like looking for it, the place was already cleaned with chairs and tables moved around and that contradicts to what he mention on the phone that he closed the restaurant after we left,,,anyway just be CAREFUL taking items into the restaurant , beacuse if you forget it by any chance you loose it, even though he claims Bismillah, by the way the waiter he said was his daughter........check your bill and don't forget something there watch out!!!!

★★★★  I read the reviews on this site before i went to this resturant - I am glad i did - the reviews really helped me. This place had very good food. The place instead wasn't the best - but the food was excellent. The quantity was perfect - we went there twice while visiting orlando. I would definitely recommend this place.

★★★★★  Asalaam Alaikum. I am a doctor from Chicago,Orlando is my hometown I come visit here abot 3 to 4 times in a year since my family lives there and the only place we love to eat at is Bismillah. The owners are Very friendly, makes us feel like we are home. The food is really good and we especially go there for their "nihari" and "reshmi kababs". No one else has food as halal, and as good tasting in the entire Orlando since I've lived there for 23 years of my life. The waiter there seems nice,we never had a problem with her. The bathrooms do need a bit decortation but as far as the place is concerned,I believe its decorated well looking at the size of their small place. And disagreeing with the 3rd comment below mine, chicken makhanni is not made with butter to begin with, and they do make their own personal style home made beef/chick. patties in burgers if requested, but its flavored too strong for kids so they serve al-safa. I have 3 children and they only eat there burgers and rolls,so its a satisfactory knowing we are eating halal food atleast. over all I recommend to definitely try Bismillah, and other places to compare it w/ as well as the prices.

★★  The food was Ok...not the best. The Chicken Makni was too buttery and so was the burger. Also, the burgers are just Al-Safa Beef Patties so don't look forward to em. The service was terrible.
They had items written on the front of the door but when we asked they said the didn't offer any of those anymore. Also our waiter must have been in a real pissy mood because when we were ordering, she gave this pissed off expression because we changed two things on the menu. Also, we ordered Biryani and Nihari, however they forgot to write down biryani , and they never brought out the nihari...Overal, i'd give them a 2.
The food was OK , the service was completely Terrible...The establishment itself also looked very ghetto. If you want better food, theres a halal food place right across the street, they're way better and MUCH more professional than this place.

I would avoid them.

★★★★★  The food was really excellent! We are quite particular with our indian foods but Bismilla were brilliant - all food was freshly prepared and had genuine flavour to make you remember food back home! Service was excellent and prices were also much better value than rip-off restaurants in I-Drive. They could do with a bit of paint to freshen the place up, but don't let that put you off as they are islamic and very genuine family providing great food :-) So don;t leave this place til last like we did, best to try it as soon as you get there and not bother with the other expensive Indian restaurants.

★★★★  Food was excellent. Chicken dishes and Dal were very good. Serve only bottled water though since they claim the tap water in the city is not good. We brought our own bottled water. Bathrooms need to be cleaned and renovated. If the food was not this good, I probably wouldn't consider going there again. Take-out is a good option.

★★★★  Had the seekh kabab, nan and keema nan. All were good.
Needs a little work on the decor, but other than that the food was very tasty. Would definitely go back again. It is one of my favorite halal restaurants in Orlando. The other is Alex cafe, excellant food and great philly cheese steak !!

★★★★  We tried Nihari, Biryani, Bar BQ and fresh Naans. During our one week stay in Orlando we went to this place three times. Authentic Karachi style food. Place can be cleaner and more professional but food was excellent. I haven't tasted this tasty Nihari in New York and Toronto. Friendly owners.

★★★  I went there with my family recently. The food was cheap and nice but there service approach is not business oriented. And ya, don't try their Biryani, it's too spicy.

★★★★★  Me and my family just visited this restaurant. The name pretty much explains itself. The food was excellent and the service was great. I had a talk with the owners, they were real nice and are known to be Muslims. Even though the place is small it is well kept and nicely organized. The new management is splended. I gaurantee staisfactory of halal food when you go there.

I went with my wife, my kids, mother, and sister's family + kids. Food was okay at the time. But all of us had a problem with feeling sick after eating there. My wife which was pregnant had to go to hospital for food poisioning. My other family members all were feeling sick later the next day. It was not that bad for us but for my wife it was bad.

If you go please make sure the food is fresh!!!!
