| | ★★★ Mixed experience. We visited on Christmas eve, no other customers at that time only one person to serve and take money. Visa and Debit card machine was not working as usual. Luckily I had cash. He was not interested to give me my money back. I had to ask for the left over change. Food was very expensive and quantity was sooooo small. Chicken biryani was not tasty. Non-veg Thali was not enough for one person apetite. I would not recommend this restaurant. |

| | ★★ Average looking restaurant. Below average food and service. Above average pricing. I had the 12 oz. T-bone steak and by the time I had removed all the burnt meat I was left with a 6oz. steak. The waitress asked me what level of spiciness I wanted, and then, the only thing on my plate that tasted like anything was the bbq sauce (it came in its own little container). The salad was a few slices of head lettuce, and a few slices of a carrot and the rice was completely plain steamed rice. My wife had the lamb curry that tasted about average. My advice to the shop, Do what you're best at, leave the experimenting for professionals. My advice for patrons, stay away from the steak. |

| | ★★★ Average restaurant. Nice, quiet and clean dining room. Above average pricing ( expensive compared to others)- $12 for mutton biriany. Average washrooms. Only one person serving/ cooking and handling cash. Its alright but I might not go there anytime soon. The shrimp was overcooked and rubbery but the naan was good. Good experience overall. Room for improvement. |

| | ★★ Taj Cuisine is the 'new kid on the block' in the perpetual cycle of Indo-Pakistani restaurants that come and to in Niagara and elsewhere. I can only comment on the quality of the take away food. Taj has a buffet and menue service.
We ordered kibaab, naan and daal. The kibab was very good. Tasty and fresh. The naan was 'old' and dry. I can only assume that it was sitting under a heat lamp for few hours before we placed our order. The daal portion would be humorous if it was not so expensive. The 'regular' portion was the size of one of those tiny containers used for take out chutney.
Price for food and the portions are not that surprising given the lack of compititon in the area. What did surprise and distress me was the personal hygiene of a staff member. This fellow takes orders and appears to help out in the kitchen. His finger nails, just under the tips, were filthy. It was as if his had just arrived from doing his gardening or fixing his car.
Rectify the quality, portion and personal hygiene issues and Taj Cuisine will be a fine place to eat.
As well, check your order before leaving. We found that were were a naan short when we got home. | | |
