| | ★★ I probably would not recommend this place. NYC has MANY restaurants to choose from, and this one should not be on that list. Food was luke-warm, not fresh and was made in 2 minutes after I ordered. I wondered how in the world they made the food so quickly; when most people normally wait for about 10-15 minutes at other restaurants when ordering the same food. Well, the reason is that all of their food is placed on trays in a display case. When you order, they take the (already made) food from the display case and simply RE-HEAT it and bring it to your table. Apparently, many desi restaurants in NYC and Queens do the same thing. Excuse me for being different and old fashioned, but I still like my food to be made fresh to order. I don't mind waiting 10 minutes. Food at Shaheen wasn't tasty at all - and the cold temperature of the food made it even worse! My wife and I started feeling ill after eating our first few bites. I dont recommend this place. |
