Didn't have the food or dessert I wanted. Food was regular even the steak. Shrimp was salty. Long wait no appetizers or salad. 2 meals was $107. Small portions. Worst restaurant & food I ever had. I honestly think these good reviews was written by the restaurant friends & family. I went there sun evening & there was hardly anyone there. Should of known something was wrong. |

| ★★★★★ If you come to NYC, you gotta go here. A little on the pricey side but worth every penny. There is no other authentic steakhouse - halal, in the country. This place does everything right....tremendous ambiance, a real steak chef, great service. I have been here several times and never did I leave unhappy. Once, my $55 porterhouse steak was well done when I asked for medium. They took it back happily, brought me a new one done perfectly. I personally went to thank the chef. In addition, this place serves no alchohol...kudos to them! That is a major source of revenue for most restaurants so you know these people are adhering to principles. Again, if you had to pick one place in NYC to eat at, make it this one. I have had my relatives from CA come here bc of what I told them and they were so impressed by this place. |

Even though the waiter didnt know much about the menu, the service was very good. very nice ambiance. filet mignon and rib eye was good but felt like it was too much well done (rib eye was burned on one side). the burgers were great and loved the seasoned fries! |

| ★★★★★ Saturday night (2/2/11) around 11pm we showed up at Cairo Steakhouse. 12am we floated back to our car about half a mile away. The reviews were right. This was by far the best food experience I have ever had as far as steaks are concerned. The fillet minion was perfectly to cooked to our liking (medium-pink). The sides of mashed potatoes and assorted mixed vegetables were fantabulous. The cheeseburger with the home made fries was wonderful. MMMMMMM is all I can say. The best part about this place is that it does't serve alcohol (which is huge for steakhouses' revenue). The waitstaff was very friendly and accommodating. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the highest, a 9. Alhumdullilah. I will definitely go back again and I have already told several people to check this place out. I really hope it remains open and maintains its integrity of being a full service steakhouse that does not serve alcohol. The ambiance, the decor and the space is super nice as well. I am more than content. |

We pretty much had the whole place to ourselves on a weeknight and the service was excellent. Apart from the wonderful steaks and burgers, the onion soup was out of this world. |

| ★★★★★ My family and I went on 12/24/10. Service is excellent and the steaks are absolutely delicious. We ordered 6 oz. fillet Mignon, 12 oz fillet Mignon, 16 oz Ribeye and 16 oz NYStrip. Fillet Mignon was the best of three. Ribeye and NYStrip were excellent as well but fillet was just a little better. Very nice ambiance and decor. We met the owner Ramy, he is very nice and we will definitely try to go back. Waiter was excellent as well. |

We also got a complimentary entrée from the chef. Always wanted to have gourmet halal food and feel that I have done so. We also received a 20% coupon for our next visit. Can't wait. The only negative point is the opening time. Wish it could open a bit earlier than 4PM |

It was a little pricey, but I would say well worth it. The server was really nice and the food was served quickly. I had the truffle butter sauce with my ribeye steak, and it was delicious! The food was definitely worth the price. |

| ★★★★★ We went to Cairo Steakhouse for dinner best in NYC. Steak was cooked & seasoned perfectly and melted in your mouth. Their Rib eye was juicy and marinated to perfection. I have found very few restaurants that can deliver steak of this quality. Did not love the steak sauce. The service was fast and impeccable and atmosphere was very quiet but nice. You won't be disapointed no matter what you order. You have to experience it to understand the name. Will go back again and again.

Food was terrific, service is excellent. We enjoyed coming back time and again. Owner and family friendly and eager to please. What a surprise, the steak was cooked to perfection, Perfectly made rib eye and best mac and cheese I've ever had. Very unique dinning room especially for a steakhouse. | ★★★★ we had dinner at Cairo steakhouse on Saturday night, its very expensive but the service is outstanding, we had a young man from brazil as our waiter, and he was so helpful and coming around often asking us if we needed anything, and if everything was ok, and then disapeared leaving us alone and private, nice touch, my food was excellent i had the 6oz fillet mignon my husband had the 12 oz and asked for it med/well and it came out burnt, the other thing i didnt care for is the owner was there and did not acknowledge his patrons, i think that a personalized touch would be nice, (hi how are you, thank you, hope everything is to your liking good bye). but that said i plan on going back often and would recommend it to everyone both muslim and nonmuslim |

It's a very classy place and it's about time there are halal restaurants like this. The decor and ambience is understated but wonderful. The staff was friendly and extremely attentive. The food was beyond delicious. I got the filet mignon with grilled portabella mushroom and truffle butter sauce. It was tender and juicy and perfect. I haven't had a good steak since I became Muslim and this was better than any I have ever had. They also gave us a sashimi sample on the house, I don't like sashimi but it was great. I highly recommend this restaurant. |
