I had take out Karhi chicken and chicken jalfrazi--neither had any flavour. My husband complained that the food a "smell" typically the smell that comes from "bhooning" the chicken properly. |

I went to this place for the first time since we moved into this area… went with family. The food taste is absolutely amazing. I was born and raised in Toronto, and of all the Pakistani/Indian restaurants, the food taste of this is one of the best. The freshness of the food was also top grade… it was very obvious that everything was freshly cooked (not too sure about the biryani). It does take a while for the food to be served and the owner tells me that you should call ahead if you can. Good variety in the menu and prices are very reasonable. We had: chicken and veal biryani (doesn’t look tasty, but it was), seekh kebab, chicken kebab, fish tikka, naan, beef chili, their mixed meat sizzler, and chicken karahi… every item was great. Definitely highly recommended. It’s too bad its so close to our home… I’m going to end up spending a lot of money here over the long run…

| ★★★ The first time I went there (10 months ago)I found the food was good. When I went few weeks ago, I found the owner preoccupied and I had re-order after waiting a long time and the chicken was under-cooked. Since I live 30 mins drive I am not going there again. |

| ★★★★★ I had numerous oppurtunity to visit shahizayka.They serve an excellent food.There butter chicken is so yummy that me and my wife go to shahizayka 3 times a week.There Nan are crunchy.Chicken Biryani is Excellent.(Though I am not a Biryani Guy)I always eat biryani @ Shahi Zayka.Owners are very friendly and staff, no complaints.I also found that shahi Zayka is the cheapest restaurant in Markham town.I will keep going to Shahi Zayka for the tasty food.Keep up the good work Mr.Jamal |

| ★★ I completely agree with the previous comment, the chicken dishes are very uncooked. Maybe it was just a bad day but unfortunately all the dishes we ordered were not prepared very well. I will have to try again another time. The butter chicken was alright. |

| ★★★★ Since it's so close to where we live, we come here often. The Nihari and Bhihari Kabab are good and the naan is excellent, but don't order the Chicken Sizler or Biryani, as we've found on more then one occation, the chicken is undercooked. The owners are friendly and the tandoor guy takes breaks to pray to matter how busy (which is always a good sing!) |
