★★★★★  I am a fan of their Long Beach locations and was pretty happy when they added Manhattan Beach which is closer to me. I was disappointed when they said that only the lamb was Halal. I was recently told that it was now also full Halal. I stopped by and the staff confirmed that it was full Halal and the menus stated so also. The food is as good as the other locations but the parking here is much better and the wait is not as long. It is a little pricey compared to others, be prepared to spend close to $20 per person. They do serve alcohol for the locals but the food is good.

★★  Nope.. both the Long Beach and Manhattan Beach are non-halal! We had to ask the waitress twice and then she said only the lamb was halal.. so please exercise caution while visiting here!

★★★★  This is not Zabihah! The only thing Zabihah at this location is Lamb. And thats iffy! Please note this is the Manhattan Beach loaction not the Long Beach one, I believe the Long Beach one is Zabihah!

★★★★★  So finally, Open Sesame makes its way to Manhattan Beach! I've frequented their fully halal locations in Long Beach and was delighted to see one open in Manhattan Beach. This is an extremely busy restaurant due to its popularity and new location in the Manhattan Village Mall so be sure to make a reservation, especially on a weekend. Food is just as great as their Long Beach location, and the Laban (yogurt drink) tastes exactly the same! Only drawback is - only the lamb is halal....but even so, it's definately worth going since there's plenty to choose from. I really recommend trying their lamb chops and lemon/garlic drizzled fried potatoes. Awesome!! Since our food came out almost all at once, the waitress felt bad and gave us some baklava's to go. Simply delicious!! Course we didn't mind that it came out all at once - we see it as efficient service!! Check it out! You won't be disappointed!!! Here's hoping that one day, they do a full halal menu...
