Back then, it was known as Chee Meng Kai Fun, which means popular chicken rice when it first started off as a little chicken rice and podridge stall setted up along Old Klang Road. In 1988, Chee Meng Kai Fun was officially registered under 'Nasi Ayam Chee Meng' as a mark of stable business establishment throughout the years of operation.
