★★★★ Food has declined over the years. Hopefully new management will change that. However they are a buffet and give huge portions for entrees so I am please with the food.
★★★★★ Excellent food. Good service. Highly recommended.
★★★★★ Delicious food. Service sucks, but I love the food. I have came here hundreds of times since the resteraunt opened. They did not have a buffet in the beginning but now they do.
★ This place is very very dirty! I saw tons of roaches coming out of some door near the bathroom. The bathrooms have dead roaches everywhere! Service isn't that great either. I will not be returning here until they clean this place up!
★★★★ This place is awsome from buffet stand point of view, the price is good for and ok for dinner. However the quality of the food is average. but that goes for any buffet i guess. Overall it is a place to visit and we will....
★★★ Thought the food was average, and agree that most of the items taste about the same. The items labeled spicy are really not that hot and kind of lack flavor. This is place is a great cheap buffet, but little else. The interior looks like it needs cleaning up.
★★★ The last time I ate there a few months ago, there was a massive roach crawling on the wall (in the booths on the far left when you enter). I also didn't like how the waiter cleaned the table using leftover water from the glass of the people that just finished eating and had left. Alot of the food resembles the other. They're very much about the money and especially getting tips as previously written by a reviewer. I only come here for the chicken dumplings which alone are worth 5 stars.
★★★ Nothing fantastic but the price of buffet @ $6.95 for lunch is a no-brainer. Instead of paying almost same amount for junk food this is a far better deal.
The food quality is not bad just that it is not gourmet quality. There is no halal place in Houston that serves buffet at this price.
A place for hungry people in a hurry and on tight budget.
★★★★ I wish this was closer to sugar land. I like the buffet idea.
It doesn't compare to Jamillah's in California but it is still good.
★★★★ This was our 2nd trip in last six months. Did not find anything wrong. The number of items, the quality and the service is very good. Highly recommended if you are looking for chinese Halal Food at a very affordable price.
★★★★ For the price - the service and choices of food is excellent. Not all buffet item is great, but some are. The ice-cream is awesome touch to the whole thing.
I don't know how they can profit from such a low buffet price with the number of items in the menu. Definitely going back out there.
★★★★★ I love Jamilah Garden. I've been to her restaurants in CA and I'm happy to know that she opened a restaurant in Houston.
★ Quality has dropped drastically over the years...We've stopped going all together.
★★★★★ Great food, very clean and friendly people.
★★ Tons of variety, very little taste. I agree with all those people who have claimed that all the dishes taste the same. He worst part about it is that, that one common taste is terrible. Bland! I hope they improve the quality because this isn't going to last long like this.
★★★★★ We went with a group of 18 people for a lunch buffet for the first time to JG. I was pleasantly surprised by the offerings and loved the variety. Also loved the family friendly atmosphere. The food quality was also good. Although the management could improve a few things like providing proper metal cutlery for desserts etc. On the whole - very satisfied!
★★★★★ does anybody know about the status of the soy sauce?
NR We read reviews and went to Jamilah Garden. We were so disappointed by the quality of food that we will never go there again. All dishes tasted same, like salt mixed with water. I will not recommend anyone to go there ever.
★★★★ Food always taste excellent. Workers keep looking at you when you go up to the buffet more then one time. HATE THAT it's abufet you can go up as many times you want. Also they say dinner buffet times starts at 6, you go there at 6 and it's never ready. But food is great.
★★★★★ my favorite halal restaurant ever. Come during lunch when the food is served fresh and hot and enjoy their 6.99 buffet: it has so many options...
great service, great food, great price for what you get, and horrible location for me T_T
★★★★★ Clean place. Great food to our liking. Our cravings for food back home were finally fulfilled.
Kids love the fried chicken and desserts.
Price is very affordable too. We will definitely come back again.
★★★★ Great Buffet at great value especially for children. Good atmosphere with friendly hospitality. Children wanted to go back there again....
★★★ I used to live in So. Cal. & frequented the original Jamillah Gardens. Recently during a visit to Houston I got a chance to go to this place.
The restaurant is big and well lit, and was busy as could be on a Saturday night. Food though was not as good as I hoped it to be. This place is now a buffet. Almost all chicken dishes tasted the same. I could not tell which dish I was eating, I was just chewing plain bland chicken. I spoke to one of the cooks who told me that this was owned by the famous Jamillah of Tustin and he used to work at that place, but the taste is nowhere as good.
There was good variety and the soups were pretty good but the taste left me unimpressed. Price was cheap for a weekend buffet and service was good. But if you are looking for taste not quantity, look somewhere else.
★★ Food is below average and they forgot my steamed rice even though I asked twice to make sure they included it.
Probably will not go there again which is too bad as the woman who greeted us as we came in was very nice and our take-out order was made very quickly.
★★★★★ love it! i have ate excellent dishes here along with some that are so-so. but the excellent ones continue to maintain the same quality as day 1. my family's favorites are: Orange Chicken, Mangolian Beef, Chicken Chilli, and Beef Fried Rice. And the onion pies tastes like the best paratha ever, seriously! great place to take out of town visitors and guests.
★★ The food was so-so. Dishes was a bit bland. Had so much high hopes for this restaurant. Might try again & hope it will be better. It has a huge space for entertaining big group.
★★ We ordered a variety of dishes. We got fatty chicken. All the dishes tasted the same. This was our first experience, after reading the reviews. I didn't have as good experience as others. I won't be going back.
★★ Dunno what the hype surrounding this is. The food was below average, poor in presentation and lacking in flavour. The egg rolls were served with an orange sauce that had a ton of food colour, the rice wasn't appetising, the sweet and sour chicken or something had scary looking pieces of chicken in strange tasting sauce whilst the kung pao beef tasted exclusively of peanuts. The soup was mediocre, and tasted rather smoky.
★★★★★ I wanted to give them 6 stars but only 5 are available. Very good food, excellent service, very good quantity, average prices, big dinning area (seats about 100 people). We ordered Chinese fried rice and Weird name dish with Beef Chili and Garlic. Me and my wife could only eat fried rice, they were so good and we packed the other beef dish to go which was also very tasty. The waitress was a Chinese Muslim using a head scarf so we did not even ask this time if they serve halal food coz it was pretty obvious when she said Assalaam-o-Alaikum to us. Definitely recommended.
★★★★★ Very Good Food. Friendly Staff and clean nice family environment. Been there several time now :)
★★★★★ Good and tasty food.Nice family environment.
I would definitely go there again!
★★★★★ good food.. fast service.
★★★★★ Very good food, nice atmosphere, and decent staff.
Probably the best halal chinese restaurant in Houston.
★★★★★ Great Food, Awesome Service, best Halal Chinese in Houston hands down. Thanks Jamillah
★★★★★ the food was amazing, and the waiters were very professional and extremely nice. we went on a thursday night, and it has like about 20 ppl there, which imo is a good amount of people. We had chicken corn soup, beef fried rice, chicken broccoli, and shredded chicken with spicy sauce. the beef fried and corn soup were amazing, probably the best i've ever had. The chicken broccoli was also really good, i ordered it with white sauce, i think i'll stick to brown sauce next time. The shredded chicken wasn't much to our taste. it was good, just not something that we'd order again. Overall, we're defi going back! it was soo clean and a total family atmosphere!
★★★★★ We have eaten here several times now. The food is excellent and authentic chinese. The prices are extremely reasonable. The portions are large. The place is very clean and inviting. The owner, Jamillah, is very sweet and friendly. She and her staff provide superb personal service without being bothersome. The chinese decor is tasteful and the atmosphere is pleasant.
Above all my kids, my friends and relative all love it. A great Muslim restaurant. We highly recommend Jamillah's. Please frequent this Muslim restaurant and keep it successful as a business as it is great place to eat out.
★★★★★ Beside good food, fast service, and clean eating place, the price also reasonable with the huge portion of meal. This has become our favorite gathering place for Malaysian Muslims community.
★★★★★ Clean, Halal, and nicely decorated. Best Chinese food in Houston hands down. Great pricing and good portions. Nice place to take the family and friends. Sesame Chicken and the Mongolian Beef are amazing. Great place overall.
★★★★★ Excellent food, very nice and clean, beautiful decor, nice place to take out of town family and guests, and fairly priced and decent portions
★★★★★ we just heard about this place and really enjoyed it. its very clean and the staff is friendly. they even have a place to pray set up in the corner of the restaurant. we enjoyed the sesame chicken as well as the mongolian beef. although its new, the place was pretty busy, so plan ahead.
