| ★★★★★ Updated Review: I went here again last night and this was better than ever. This time I had the Pastrami sub with french fries along with the Buffalo Wings. All were cooked well and tasted delicious. Especially the Pastrami Sub which was out of this world !!! Brother Wasim was also very hospitable as he so kindly took care of us right before they were about to close and allowed us to stay past closing time.
September 1st 2009: We had the meat lovers pizza along with the chocolate and strawberry milkshakes are they were great !!! Great food, nice setting and terrific service ! |

This is not my main point though. I was staying at Doubletree Dulles Airport and the driver came with some orders for some MUSLIM residents who were mainly new SAUDIS students who don't speak English very well. The driver was shouting at one of them for being late (the buyer was saying sorry i was in the restroom !!) those people are afraid and just came to the US for the first time, so they know nothing. The main disaster here is that the driver came to me and said this is our menu if you want to eat 100% zabihah food. I took the menu and checked the name of the restaurant which was BAYT ALKABOB (menu written in Arabic specifically for those new students who their GOV bring them here) i noticed the prices were high. I looked the address in Google and I found that they were cheating and fooling those "MASKEEN" people and the name is lil italian cafe and guess what ... THE PRICES IN THEIR WEBSITE OR IF YOU CALL AND SHOW THAT YOU KNOW THIS PLACE IS LIL ITALIAN NOT BAYT ALKABOB (AS WHAT I DID) THE PRICES ARE LESS BY ALMOST 2$ FOR EACH SANDWICH and also THEY CHARGE 3$ FOR DELIVERY (TO THOSE STUDENTS) AND FREE IF YOU ORDER FROM LIL ITALIAN CAFE !!!!!!!! WHAT A SCAMMER ... Its clean, foods good, and all the food that I wanted to try in a halal version is alll here and it was good. I think this place is perfect for anybody with friends family alone or whatever. And also the food is hot as well!! We tried the chicken tenders with a honey mustard dip, chicken wings, chicken corden bleu and chipotle chicken both things came with a side of french fries and it was alllll good. I was craving a perfect crispy chicken burger and that's exactly what I got!! Also people who didn't like it give it another try and it will go better this time, hopefully. These people are gonna be seeing me a lot!!! Oh and reallllyyyy good customer service as well! |

The employee get angry and told me why would you do that ?!! no need to cancel it if you do not want to pay take it for free and he closed the phone in my face !!! An hour later they brought the food and charged me more than what he told me in the first time. I gave the driver the drink and told him I do not want it (even though I paid for it). He took it and charged me for it. I noticed them that I will complaint for the way they dealing with me. The driver start laughing and told me feel free to complaint. I called the restaurant back but they did not care for my complaint and the employee ended the call with close the phone in my face. I ended paying $17 for 2 single burgers !!! |

| ★ I am very disappointed with the service my husband and I received at the restaurant today! My husband ordered a sandwich which he hadnt had there before, and he did not like it. He told the server that he didn't like it and couldnt eat it, and requested a pizza instead. The server left the sandwich there and walked away.
The pizza he ordered came back just as bad. I order the pizza there (for lunch) almost 2 times a week and ordered it today-- its a DEEP-dish pizza and that is how mine came out. However, is was very obvious they were upset about my husband not liking the sandwich based on the appearance of the pizza he ordered. It was basically a thin-crust pizza which was not even on a crust but more of a gyro-bread type of base. I was shocked...Ive never seen it look like that before, completely flat. When we went to pay, the server refused to remove the sandwich, which was literally untouched, from our bill. He offered to "microwave" the sandwich... how disgusting! I liked the food for the most part but the service we received is deplorable and I will never order from there again! Off to find a new halal place for lunch! Their chicekn steak and cheese was amazing as well. The prices are really good compared to everything else espeically b/c they are Halal. Also, the carrot cake is good. They make good mango milkshakes. I mean I love them, they are clean, no alcohol, they give discounts if you ask for one and they deliver. The pizzas are really good and calzones. Definitly support them! The owner will pray with you as well if its time to pray just ask they have prayer mats and everything. |
