NR The manager (who was the only Muslim there) told me the chicken is Halal but fried in a non-Halal beef based lard (or oil) and suggested if we keep strict Halal diet not to eat it. That being said, I left.
★★★★★ Agree with azna ... they can sell the chicken battered and you can take it home and fry it there (340 F x 15min) - the staff is familiar with the protocol and the owner is Muslim who verifies that the chicken pieces are halal (the tenders are not).
NR I had been there and they told me they do buy the chicken halal BUT that they fry it in the same oil as with the non- halal chicken as well.
Too bad they spend more $ buying halal chicken. Someone should call Popeyes managment to let them know and ask if it could by fried apart.
★★★★★ Only the chicken his Halal , the oil they fry it with is animal base which makes it non-halal.
I would recommend you buy only the chicken and fry it at home.
They sell the chicken for the same price..
