★★★★★ I'm not from Michigan so I didnt know about the hype around this location. On their counter they had details about the lawsuite CLAIMING that the meat was not halal, so I asked one of the workers and they said the meat was halaal and the guy is making false allegations.
I guess she told the manager I was asking about it, so he came around explained how their chicken nuggets and chicken burgers are halaal.
To the best of my memory I will relate what he said. He said that Mc Donalds was contacted and it was requested that they have halaal chicken nuggets and stuff at this location. So McDonalds made an agreement with some provider of zabihah meat in the states.
The staff at this location were then educated about Islam and what it means for meat to be halaal. They were also educated in how to keep the halaal meat separate from non-zabihah. They keep the halaal meat with the fish in fact. They even have different colored utensils to handle it.
I feel like this location has gone above and beyond to provide halaal and to ensure the meat is handled respectfully. I saw lots of Muslims going there and ordering food too so they seem to be quite confident that it's halaal too I guess.
I personally havent had chicken mcnuggets in like 16 years, so I'm glad they have halaal available and I will be returning.
★ This is the location that was sued for serving non halal chicken. Only the chicken was halal. Don't know what they have done to address the situation or earn the trust back. Not sure what happened to the previous reviews for this location that were up before. I won't be eating there anymore.
