★★★★ The lady at the counter confirmed that the chicken is halal. She went ahead and explained that the beans, gravy in mashed potatoes and gravy with rice is not halal. The service was good. Food was tasty. Overall restaurant needs to be little upgraded.
★★★★★ I don't like fried chicken, too greasy. But for those of you who can tolerate this type of food, this place is not bad at all.
I asked by phone if the chicken is hand or machine slaughtered, and the lady said "by hand."
★★★★ ...coming all the way from Cincinnati to Columbus and not being able to sit in the lobby because it closed down at 9 on the dot was a bit disappointing but the service was great! The lady who packed the food for us did a pretty awesome job and the chicken was also very nice though I don't think it was spicy but it was halal and Alhumdulillah to that..
...we took our food and sat inside McDonald and kudus to them, they where very nice and hospitable. Plus, they had the dip cone!! :) I was a happy gal leaving Columbus...
Will I come back and get my chicken and fixings...and go back for my dipped cone at the near by McDonald...inshallah very soon!! :)
★★★★★ Love that chicken from popeyes
★★★★★ We drove into Columbus later than scheduled and couldn't make it to the restaurant before they closed. The owner kept our order aside and let us come in after closing to pick it up. When we got to our hotel room, we opened the box to find that the brother had generously given us 20 pieces for the price of 10. The chicken was delicious but it's his service that will make this place stand out.
★★★★★ Great business worth supporting. Perfect when you are craving a fast food value.
★★★★ Halal food is a plus. I use to go there once in a while. All chicken potions are halal. If you order mashed potato ask them not to put gravy which is not halal.
★★★★ Excellent! Reassured by one of the servers who looked Muslim that the meat was all zabeeha halal.
Service was quick and we were happy with the taste.
NR asalaamu alaikum'
I contacted this restaurant and was told that the chicken is machine cut.
★★★★ Pro: Fried Chicken was tasty! Would def recommend. Spicy is great. Even my kids (age 4 and 1) ate without problems. Coleslaw is good, too.
Con: Service was slow on the day we went; wanted lunch before Juma salat, ordered to get it for there. because of wait, ended up taking to go and eat after prayer.
★★★★ Fried Chicken was very tasty, they had both spicy and mild varieties. FYI the Red beans and rice and gravy sides are not halal.
