★★★★  Ok... I have been to this place twice, and it took me a long time to give a review. However, here it is and here are the facts as I know them... the food IS halal, according to the owner who runs the Mirchi Wok side. Unfortunately, yes, it is true that they sell alcohol. I think this is a carry-over from the Mango Grove side of the restaurant, which is not the halal side (though it is vegetarian). The food here is very good, with chicken 65, butter chicken, and lamb being my favorites. I find it amazing that people will criticize about the alcohol, yet they shop and eat in places that sell alcohol and pork. Personally, I never even saw anyone actually order and drinking alcohol on the Mirchi Wok side. Give this place a try. InshaAllah you could be the one to convince them to stop selling it.

★★  I went their once and they serve Alcohal and how can this be halal. I got some nans(Roti) but throw it away as they are not halal and not even a single muslim is working there

★★  We did try to go to that place last year but it does have a typical smell that we couldn't tolerate. Their ambience was better though but I still can't figure out what that smell was about.

★★★★★  Went there Saturday evening for dinner after seeing their ad in The Muslim Link. The food was excellent. The lollipop chicken was a hit with the kids. The waiter was very attentive. We also had goat Biryani and Butter chiken with Naans on the side. Food was hot and service was prompt.

★★★  I visited this restaurant on Saturday at around 7.30pm. I was told that there was a buffet and was not given a menu so i assumed that was all they had. From all the reviews i read, i thought they would have a lot of variety on their buffet. Compared to some of the other south asian buffets i've been to, their selection was very limited. They had a big section for tandoori chicken and other grilled meat but all they had there were 6 or 7 leftover pieces of chicken. Not a good thing at peak dinner time on a saturday. Naan is brought to your table 1/2 a naan at a time. The only good thing on their buffet was the butter chicken. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for a buffet and don't really know if they have a menu since they didn't bring one to my table.

★★  Food is not bad but their service is really crappy. If you order take out make sure you check your food before leaving because most likely you wil be leaving with few naans less and a dish you didn't order. How do they fix if they have made a mistake. "oh im sorry". What the hell is that???

★★★★★  We went to this restaurant and we really enjoyed the food. The food was not as much chinese or noodles as we thought there was going to be, but that was okay. We had the lollipop chicken, that tasted it was right out of multan. We also had the chicken corn soup, at first it was a bit strange but we grew to love it. We also had the lamb vinduloo, my favorite dish when I went, and the chili chicken, which was also very good and very desi-chinese. The service was very good. I especially liked the fact that they left a jug of water on your table. There white rice was good cooked with cumin seeds. The best thing about this place was the food was cooked fresh!!!! It was so fresh you had to wait for it to cool down.

★★★★★  This is a recently opened restaraunt next to Mango Grove. Mango Grove is owned by Christians, and their business partner, Rohit Chawla, runs Mirchi Wok. I have spoken directly to Mr. Chawla, and he has shown me that he gets all his meat from halal vendors in D.C. This is done for the taste, and he is right; the taste is amazing; everything from their chicken corn soup. Chicken 65, butter chicken, and lamb; this place is amazing!!!
