 | ★★ I try not to give negative respond to Muslim businesses. But I could not hold myself anymore regarding this food factory. I have been to this place 3times the past 2years, the last time was two days ago. It was about 2pm. My husband ordered chicken kebab and I took the buffet. There was only one meat dish for the buffet.....which was a diluted chicken curry....and about 4pieces of dried out tandoori chicken.
The buffet is supposed to come with the naan bread but the staff will not voluntarily give it out unless you asked for it. For these past two years, I have experienced and witnessed the same thing....the restaurant will try to save on their naan bread by not offering it to the buffet customers. By the way, the naan bread is Delicious.
When I asked for the naan bread, another customer heard me and immediately get up and asked the staff for it. This happened all the time.
After they grilled the chicken kebab for my husband they took out one or two pieces of the meat and put it in for the buffet. This also happened all the time over theses years. I have heard customers and my friends complaining about this over all these years. Why do the owners think they can get away with cheating people!!!
The food is not tasty at all.
I can ignore the quality of the food if the staff has a good attitude.
However, the staff do not extend the very basic of customer service. No greetings at all even though they can see we are a Muslim couple. When my husband greet him with a Salam, he looked at his cashier machine and mumbled an answer.
The owner's attitude is like 'I do not want to be bothered!' It is like he is doing all his customers a favor with the cheap food. He forgot that there are much better Muslim restaurants in this DC metro area with comparable
Rates.
I am making an effort with this lengthy feedback because I notice that this restaurant is making a full page advertisement with the Muslim Link paper.
There will be more Muslims who will be going to this restaurant and get cheated.
I prayed for the owners, inshallah he read this feedback and make a genuine effort to improve. |

 | ★★★★ Food is tasty and authentic. Seating is not great. The buffet doesn't have desserts but that's ok. Kids eat free. We love the tasty juicy tandoori and the naan.
The bad things is they always stare at you which is way annoying. We ordered catering in Ramadan but the food was not great and the meat was undercooked |

 | ★★★ I'm never disappointed by the buffet. It's $8 for lunch and $10 for dinner. I grab all of the food I can stuff in my belly and walk out happy.
HOWEVER, the quality is not that good. I am a student so I prefer substituting 2 meals with one food factory buffet for the price. If you want better kabobs, there are plenty of choices. But it's hard to beat Food Factory's buffet! |

 | ★★★★ Food here is good. The buffet is amazing for the price and the items available. However, when ordering the buffet, they sometimes 'watch' what you're getting. This can be uncomfortable for some. I hope the manager/older brother that works there realizes that this isn't the most polite thing to do. I will return here, though. |

 | ★★★★ This place is not bad. Chicken Kababs were pretty good. This place is a little far from my home so will go back next time I'm out there for work again. |

 | ★★★★★ We decided to try out Food Factory after 6 years based on the review by UMCP04. We use to go here all the time, but the food quality seemed to only get worse and worse. To our surprise the food was very good. We got haleem and they gave us a sample of the alu-palik both were very delicious. The chicken kabob and their nan were also very good.
Food Factory is under new ownership and management. I would recommend everyone to give them another try… you won’t regret it.
Food Factory responds: Thank you for taking the time and giving us your comment. Please let us know when you visit us so that we can keep providing better service.
See you soon. |

 | ★★★★★ Got a call from a friend and he recomended going there again after a long time. Thanks to him I wasn't disappointed. The place looks a lot cleaner and the layout more welcoming. The food was fantastic. I ordered lamb+beef kabob and they were both amazing. I have never seen or tasted naan as good any where. We stopped going there because of the previous management, they seem to have lost intrest in the business. The new management verified that they have changed their vendor for Halal meat so no more trips for me to VA or baltimore. Keep it up. Food Factory responds: Thank you for taking the time to give us your comments. We will try our best and keep improving both service and food.
See you soon. |

 | ★ We went there today for lunch. We went there 2 get some good Northern Pakistani/Afghani taste. They charge money before you eat so owner (skiny Afghani guy) told me and my 9 years old daughter don't share food with each other and don't come too often to buffet line. So I told him to charge me twice. Which he did right away hahaha. After paying I was just disgusted by the food in buffet and my daughter did not even touch food since it looked like puke. It was funny to see a mexican cook cooking Afghani food. We both were hungry and we could not eat waterd down buffet so we ordered Seekh Kabab which was tasty. Restaurant has nice location but terribe management with no customer service concept and dirty place. What a waste. Food Factory responds: Food factory is under new ownership and management as of May 2010. When you get a chance please stop by and you won't be disappointed. |

 | ★★ I went there for dinner recently. I thought it would be the same as Food Factory in Arlington, VA but to my disappointment this restaurant is nothing like Arlington branch. Their buffet did not look very appetizing, quite a few items though. But as they say you eat with your eyes first. So we ordered chicken and chapli kebobs, which were ok nothing great. Dining hall is very basic and has no heating. Food tasted more like Afghani then Pakistani. You know same old chickpeas and bland spinach. For service I would give 2 out of 10. I am not going back! |

 | ★ Awful service!! I 'been there last night (Aug 20, 2005) with my family, but I will think twice to go there again. First, the guy who took the order forgot what I ordered and then when he brought us the wrong food, he got annoyed with me. Excuse me! Doesnít he know the word 'SORRY'? And what is the point of being annoyed when the problem lies with their poor service. The food may be good, but sorry, I lost my appetite to comment on that. |

 | ★★★ Food is good. Most of the items are over priced, with no service at all. I ordered an extra scewer and they charged me the price of the entire plate. Also, though the extra scewer had three lamb peices, they gave me two peices. |

 | ★★ Considering the number of good Pakistani-Afghan-Indian restaurants there are in the DC metro area, it is quite disappointing. The food is pedestrian, there is no service to speak of, the ambience is poor. |

 | ★★★★★ "One of the best Afghan restaurants I have been to. It is a good idea to call ahead, since the food can take some time to cook, especially when busy, however it is well worth the wait. Kofta and boneless chicken kabobs are AWESOME with rice and nan. " |

 | ★★★★ Good kofta and boneless chicken kebobs. Samosas are decent - but can really vary in quality - sometimes they are very good and sometimes they arent cooked well. The best way to eat here is to call in advance ... because it takes awhile to make the food - if you have the time its a good place to go |
