Our chicken is processed exactly as done in Saudi Arabia, middle east and other Muslim countries. We not only offer 100 % Halal chicken but we also comply to the highest standards set by KFC. We strive hard to satisfy our customers with their needs of Halal fast food. There is an original location at 810 E.   I have been there only once and decided not to go there again because you have to specifically ask for Halal sandwich which they only have one selection. I felt really uncomfortable ordering because not every item is halal. Lady who took my order asked me specifically if I need a halal sandwich.

I hope they are not doing a mix and match. I was visiting from a different state and my comment is primarily based on my experience.

NR  Machine Slaughtered....ZABIHA???

Chicagoland area “Zabiha KFC” locations (6732 N. Western Ave, 810 E. Roosevelt Rd, 171 Danada Square East) get their chicken from Gold Kist Inc (706.548.5641).

Chicken this supplier supplies is machine slaughtered. Following is the slaughtering process that is listed on www.zabihakfc.com provided by the supplier to the KFC owner Afzal Lokhandwal.

Mr. Lokhandwala,

1 have outlined below the procedures that are in place at our Athens, GA processing facility to
produce product in accordance with generally accepted HALAL guidelines. Mohamed Mubarak is in our processing facility daily to observe and certify that the chicken that you receive is processed in accordance within HALAL guidelines.

Process Flow

- Poultry is transported live from the poultry farms to the processing plant.
- Poultry is conveyed into plant and is hung by hock live on shackles.
- Chickens travel from the live hang area to stunner in approximately one minute.
- Chickens travel to mechanical kill device in approximately fifteen seconds.
- Chickens are individually cut through jugular vein and trachea; head not removed. A back-up
killer is stationed to insure birds are killed prior to scalder.
- Chickens are allowed to bleed thoroughly while traveling to scalder for approximately two
minutes.
- Each processing line runs at 140 birds per minute.

★★★★  Great chicken, kids love it. Been to a few other places that serve halal fried chicken, no one does it like KFC!! Excellent, always our first stop (and last-we take to go!) in Chicago!!

★★★★  I will disagree with Afzal on this one, I had the spicy chicken breast piece with 2 sides and I must say it was absolutely delicious, just like the commercial says it was finger lickin good. Its fried chicken so anyone who will enter knows its unhealthy but tasty :) Also they staff were very honest about what was halal and not on the menu.

★★  KFC is right up there with Taco Bell as fast food trash. It takes unhealthy to a new level. I found chicken bone fragments in my first sandwich. The manager was pretty defensive and didn't want to replace it. Reluctantly, she made a replacement. Surprise! Surprise! More bone! Nothing tasted fresh and everything was junk. You'll have to ask the staff which items on the menu are halal.

★★★★★  Really awesome Food. Part of the menu is Zabihah and staff was very honest and helpful in mentioning that. we tried most of the zabihah menu and everything was really good. Spicy chicken and Halal Sandwich were awesome.
would strongly recommend if interested in Zabihah Fast food.

★★★  They do have a zabiha certification which is right on the wall next to the cashier. But not all the chicken is zabihah they have a specific menu for the zabiha food you must tell the cashier you want to order only zabiha meat. Some of the casheirs will ask if they recogize that you are Muslim, but that is really your responsibility if you want to have a zabiha meal.

★★★  Got verbal assurance from the staff that the chicken was halaal, but not too sure I'd go there again, as the chicken tasted old, and so did the biscuits. If you're looking for not-so-fresh food at a low price, this is the place!

NR  Rumor has it that this is not halal:

I think the Chicken, lamb, and the beef might be zabihah halal. But there food handleing would make it harm. they might use the same utensils.
