| ★★ Highly over priced! All I got for 18 bucks was a plate full of sweet potato fires (those too were very thin and stiff), a very small portion of beef and chicken and some vegetables. I couldn't believe I was paying 18 dollars for fries? Should have had a fish fillet meal from McDonald's instead. Tables were located very close to each other, not enough space or proivacy and the lights were very dim. Parking is very limited. The only nice thing was the decor (excluding lights). |

| ★★★★★ The owner (I think her name is Aliya) is gregarious and welcoming and made us feel right at home. I went here the night before Eid, and she gave some excellent suggestions on places nearby to attend Eid prayer, even some smaller gatherings.
As for the food, the meat was tender and succulent in all three of the dishes that we ordered. The food was prepared with care and warmth.
The ambience is cozy with Islamic, North African touches.
It is a bit difficult to find, just off Central Square, but worth the hunt. |

| ★★★★★ This restaurant has amazing food, alhamdullilah and a really warm atmosphere. They do not serve alcohol and they don't take credit or debit cards (so bring cash). You may see people bringing their own bottles of wine to the restaurant since this is within the codes of Cambridge,but by not getting a liquor license the restaurant isn't encouraging drinking. Every bite of the food here is bursting with flavor. I can't even name a favorite dish because I love them all and each time I've been have shared with my dinner partners. Favorite drink: the lemonade, made more delicious with rosewater and rose petals. Cons, the restaurant is hidden away a side street and is not open every night, so call ahead for directions and to see if it is open. |

Here you can gourmet halal food and fabulous desserts, what more can you ask for? But there is one more thing that makes this place so special, the owner. She is the most welcoming and the friendliest owner I have met yet. You will enter this place as a patron but leave as a friend. Do not miss out on the great food and great atmosphere. My family was in town for a visit (from Maine) and were pleased to find a good halal restaurant. We especially enjoyed the mint tea, appetizer (fresh cheeses with a fig compote) and desserts (creme brulee and Tunisian dates and cheese) we shared. It was worth the trip and we'll definitely be back! |

However, this is a must visit for those who are in search of Halal and/or ethnic foods. The food is rich in variety and taste, although a bit on the expensive side. People with weak stomachs or those not open to adding more variety to their existing limited choice of meals may not enjoy this place. Then again, you need to try this kind of food before making up your mind about it. The food is rich in taste. The same platter may contain items that are sweet, tangy, savory, spicy (not hot!) and a combination of all these tastes. The small dining area feels very cozy when there are not too many customers around. But in the presence of many, it is a little congested. Weekend nights, seem to be very popular. The staff is very courteous and hospitable. Do check out this place." |
