 | ★★★ I've been living in calgary for last ten years and have been their customer when they were in Huntington plaza...The food taste used to be good but over a period of time, I've witnessed the quality and taste going down. It's not that bad overall, especially the kashmiri tea (pink). I was told that the owners are Ahmadi's if it matters to someone. |

 | ★★ They could do a lot better if they improve their service. Their food is a lot better than their competitors around them, however, on a couple of occasions, i have had to go to other restaurants near this place just because nobody would serve me. The food is really good though and I still go back quite frequently despite the bad service. |

 | ★★★★ I've been eating their food for years, even when they were located in the NorthWest in a small place called Salty's Fish & Chips. The naan kebab were the best there. Anyways, quality of food has diminished a little, but I still enjoy eating there. I find that the service is hit and miss, it just depends on how busy they are. |

 | ★★★ I would recommend their Chargha.. and fish pakora is really good and so are their naan and also their paya... they even gave my 3 yr old kulfi free ...though they dont make kulfi themselves now ... but a good restaurant ... the owner is very talkative... they are ahmadi but the food is halal... a good place to enjoy food with family |

 | ★★★ This place is hit and miss with the food quality. Service has always been terrible. Some days the food is very good and other days its just downright gross. Not sure whats going on with this place. |

 | ★★★★ I've been in Calgary for about a year and have not yet found a better desi resturant than The Village. I recently moved from Chicago to Calgary and everyone knows that Chicago has an awesome desi resturants for me to compare with.So I decided to write something as a feedback for them.
There Nihari is awesome not too spicey (for the people who have been here for a while and have weaker stomach but can be made spicey upon request) It tastes awesome just perfect.
Seekh Kabab are the next best thing, my 3 and 4 year olds love it and eat it raw.
Butter Chicken is another very good dish.
The chicken Qourma, although taste pretty good, is nowhere close to a Quorma. It doesn't even looks like a qourma. But still tastes pretty good.
Tikka a related dishes are good but the portion sizes need some consideration.
Service timings are adequate.
Tea, Kulfi are awesome.
It does'nt matter if they are Ahmadi or Shia, they buy their meat from a Halal Zabhiha source.
Highly recommended
Hope this helps |

 | ★★★★ Amazing food, slower service. I would highly recommend the Lahori Chargha and kulfis. They should definetly hire more staff to improve upon their slower service. |
