The first bite of my steak and cheese sub, fresh from the oven proves that these reviews are 100% accurate. Pizza Tempo is more than just a halal pizza joint, its a hole in the wall with great food.

We'd gone to the location in the gas station a few years ago, and really liked the food, even tho we thought it was awkward eating in a gas station. This place is better, its still small, but very clean and we felt comfortable eating there. The man at the counter, im presuming he was the owner, was very nice. Our food was prepared quickly. We ordered a BBQ Chicken pizza, and the chicken cheesesteak. The pizza was VERY good, it was a bit expensive, but I'd defi buy it again. The chicken cheesesteak was actually very good as well. I thought it would be greasy and fattening. But surprisingly, the chicken was very juicy and tender, but not greasy at all. Everything seemed fresh. We're defi going back whenever we're in DC. And the bathroom is clean, that's always a plus at a halal restaurant :) |

| ★★★★★ It's awesome. I went to the gas-station Tempo probably around 30 times. Best steak and cheese (chicken or lamb/beef), awesome pizzas (a little pricey though), and WONDERFUL calzones.
Went there a few weeks ago for the first time in the new place, and things haven't changed much. Same old goodness!
There is a couple of stools you can sit on to eat, but this is definitely a carryout place. |

One of the guys recommended the doner but my friend and I ended up having the Soujak Pide, Lahmacun, Lamb Cheesesteak, and mozzarella sticks (homemade). Everything was absolutely delicious and portions were big, I felt like ordering more to take home. The only downside to this place is it really is pretty much only for take out as there are about 6 chairs in front of two counters for people to sit and eat. Will definitely be dropping by again. |

I asked them and they showed me the meat they used with halal and zabihah signs on them. Their subs made me put on weight, as I could not stop eating them. Their gyros, paninis are delicious. The best thing is they are so clean, and use clean new gloves each time they handle your sandwiches! Their ingredients are very high quality. The only down side is you cannot take your family and eat there, because it is cary out and delivery only at the moment, but usually I have my orders packed and I take home to eat with my family. they have a few tables to eat while standing up for the people on the go, but as I said not suitable for a family eat out, however if you want to taste some delicious, clean halal food try pizza tempo, they deliver to their neighborhood. the owner is a very nice brother from Turkey. the treatment is excellent and they accept major credit cards, which is a plus. One more thing they have even halal(certified zabiha) pepporoni, authentic soujuk and salami for meat lovers. |
