★★★★  Managed to come here for iftar on the 3rd day in Bkk. Have been eating seafood until this day that I could feast on real meat! Food was tasty and mango juice is nice! Came back later at night to pack food for sahur. Price is reasonable. Will be back definately!!

Just came back from Bangkok and tried Usman for the first time. I am a frequent visitor to Thailand (spend about 1-3 months a year there) and love Thai food. My wife and I (unfortunately) hated the food there. We tried two signature Thai dishes (Pad Thai and Tom Yum Goong). The Pad Thai was the worst that we ever had and we could not finish. The Tom Yum was also well below average. We were very disappointed. I am unsure if other dishes are OK, but the two Thai dishes that any Thai place should prepare well were awful here. It is a shame, the place is a good location for me - but I will never go there again and cannot recommend it to anyone seeking good Thai food. Sorry.

★★★  The food is good at Usman. However, they should expand or make the premises more spacious. It's my first choice whenever I have Muslim friends coming to visit me in Bangkok.

★★★★  Four of us ate here last Sunday night (19th July). Food was good as experienced by others. Fast friendly service. I would recommend this restaurant to any Muslim visiting Bangkok.

★★★★★  Again, we went to Usman for lunch during my recent visit to Bangkok. Good food, nice company and reasonablly priced. The helpers speak Malay too. No English please. Bought 6kg of `belacan' from Kadijah (Usman's wife). I recommend Uzman's blackpepper beef.... Yummy! Another one would be Usman's Steam Fish.....

★★★★★  Just back from Usman. Yesterday also had dinner day. Apparently Usman closed for two months for renovation. The ground floor completed already and have more space now compared to before. 2nd floor renovation is still on going. Usman is doing the reno himself because his contractor went missing. Food is excellent. Service is also much faster now.

★★★★★  We are from Canada and were looking for a halaal restaurant in Bangkok. We stayed near Sukumvit Soi 24 and Usman is located on Sukhumvit Soi 22. It was difficult to find but if you get close to the Imperial Regency ask the TUK TUK or taxi drivers and they will direct you here.

We verified the halaal food authenticity from the owner as well as a kind gentleman from Malaysia who was alsoa patron. There is a prayer room in the restaurant and it is decorated with Islamic artifacts.

They serve Malay as well as Thai food. Proportions are generous with a lot of rice. Make sure you ask them to serve the fresh juice chilled as they may forget. Owner and her daughters do not speak English so if you only know English you may have a tough time explaining things- and they are quite reserved. However, the menu's are in English.
We ordered some Chicken and Fish dish. The fish was fried and tasted very good. Not sure what the item's name was.
I would recommend this place to anyoone looking for great mix of Malay and Thai cuisine. From all the Halaal places we ate at in Bangkok this was the one we felt most comfortable in.

★★★★★  The place is just beside the Imperial Regency Park Hotel. The Usman red sign board is on the left of the hotel when you are facing the road coming out of imperial. The stall is located in the soi after the red sign. If you are lost, you can ask a few of the motortaxi guys who are sitting around at the entrance of the soi.

The food is nice with generous portion. The tomyum is not to my liking as it seem to be a bit tone down than I'm used to which is fiery hot. I went there with four other people. All seem to find the place just nice. Not too big and not too small. Got about 6 tables total. There's prayer room and toilet on the second floor.

Food wise, we have what the owner recommend. Fish, kangkong, tomyum and beef. Drinks, ice water and fruit juice for all. We even had take away of rice, beef and fried eggs for sahur. Yes it is our first time puasa in other country. The total damage is 1150 baht. However, the owners round it down to 1100 baht. So that sums up my review.

A nice place to have your halal food when you are in sukhumvit area. Cheap, good and fast service with a smile.

★★★★  The food is authentic Thai; was good value for money and had my taste buds savouring for more. Owner is from Southern Thailand, are muslims and can speak Malay - so this would be a place for anyone who wants to have Halal Thai food but do not want to go to Southern Thailand due to political unrest there. My colleague and I had a good time chatting with the owner. Yes, there are a couple of hundred business cards on the softboard - an indication of a "must eat" place. Must go again when I am in BKK.

★★★★★  I am of Pakistani origin and hadn't tried Thai food before. I was impressed with the quality of food in this place and have visited it about 10 times whilst in Bangkok. Its not that easy to find though. If you go to Soi 22 and stand outside the Park Avenue hotel @ 22 and look across the road to the left, you will see a sign that says Usman, the actual shop is in the alleyway.

Value for money.

★★★★★  Excellent fresh halal home cooked Thai food not to be missed. Just next to the Imperial Queens Park Hotel. Its a family operated business.

United States
★★★★★  Good food, friendly owners, although the staff are a little shy. Nevertheless, good food. Free flow ice water (you need these in BKK. Usman collects business cards from patrons and staples it on the softboard as decor in the restaurant; so dont forget to leave yours there. He also sells the tomyum chilli paste for around 50 baht.

A little difficult to find as its located about 10 minutes walk from main road (Sukhumvit road). Get off the BTS at Phrom Pong and walk back towards Asok. Walk pass Benjasiri Park and take soi 22 which takes you to Jade Pavillion Hotel. Its located in the SOi infront of Jade Pavilion hotel.
