★★ The only Halal available in this store is the limited canned selection. They no longer stock Al-Safa frozen foods. This is such a shame as it was one of the few Halal selling stores in South Austin.

NR This place does not serve Halal food. I went to the bakery once and asked for Halal food. They told there was nothing in the bakery that could fall in the category of Halal.
★★★★ I asked the people behind the counter whether or not the deli meat was halal and they gave me a quizzical look. I assume that means no. Still, the store is filled with clearly labeled halal groceries (luncheon meats, halal marshmallows), so it's not a total loss.
★ This place is owned by Christian Arabs and they sell Ham sandwiches. All employees there are Mexicans so they donít even have a slightest clue what halal means. There is nothing halal about their food. Please remove this from the list.
