Layalina is a family owned and operated establishment. Rima, owner and executive chef, fills her cooking with love and special attention. Her creations entice all, especially the food critiques of the Washingtonian Magazine and the Washington Post Magazine. All of our recipes come from a combination of Lebanese and Syrian ancestry dating back many generations. Each dish is prepared fresh as if it were made in our own home. We take special pride in each item on our menu and we hope your experience with us will be an unforgettable one.  Added on October 31, 2010 and last updated 2 years ago

★★★  Props for a good shisha experience, probably the best in NoVa, but our group was charged $20 for a pot of tea because 5 of us split it. The owner was unapologetic about it. Will probably come back but will not order anything but the shisha.

★★★  Very expensive..but food was very average. Entrees are like $25.. I would pay $10 for that not $25. Not going back.
Owner was nice though and made us space for Maghreb prayers.

★★★  Tried the hummus, beef kibbeh and beef and chicken shawarma platter. Food is average tasting, yet very expensive. Service was very slow. The waiter barely understood what we were saying. This place offers shisha too. Owner confirmed all meat was halal.
