 | ★★★★★ This place has the best biryani in the d.c area hands down. Unfortunately they closed last month but the owner will still run his metro halal carts. |

 | NR This place is amazing. I have tried several items on menu if not all. Biryani, chapli kabob, chickpeas full roast chicken ( made on special order) and I absolutely love the taste. The owner Mr. Khalid takes personal care in preparing the food and I would give thumbs up to this place.

 | ★★ Salaam. I never like to give a bad review, but I was totally under-impressed with La'Jawab. The staff is very nice and the restaurant is clean but the food left a lot to be desired. I decided to try the fried chicken thinking an Indo-Pak take on an American classic would be interesting - I was wrong. The spice was nice, but the chicken totally tasted like it was fried in very, very old grease. When I looked at the chicken I thought I was going to have a heart attack! I ordered to go and brought the food home, my family ate about 1/4 of the grease-soaked chicken and couldn't eat the rest....just too heavy. The rice was bland, almost unflavored and generic tasting. I probably won't go back to the restaurant.... I was willing to forgive the super greasy chicken I was served but I figure if La'Jawab can't get rice right, a staple for this type of restaurant....why bother going back? |

 | ★★★★ Chicken Karahi was very good--as were the chaat items. Pretty small inside but OK if not busy. I recommend. |

 | ★★★★★ I had tandoori chargah and lahori cholay; it tasted really good. Seating is limited. I m
Confident that their other dishes taste good as well. Maybe the first Pakistani place that gave real Lahori flavor. I recommend this to all. The owner gave me a try of their gol gapa sour water and it tasted good; not exactly like Lahore but much better than other places in USA. |

 | ★★★ The chapli kabob was moist and flavorful. The chicken tikka was also well cooked. The sides left a little to be desired and the samosas were almost frozen on the inside. A good place to go if you're in the neighborhood, but not as impressive as other restaurants. |

 | ★★★★ We just went there last night. Their Tandoori Charga is heavenly. We spoke with the owner and he confirmed that he cuts the meet himself and does so in a very clean form. The service was also very kind. The biryani is very different since it has a bone in piece of chicken instead of small pieces. Altogether very tasty food. |
