★★  My wife an I went here for the first time and ordered three items off the menu; two sandwiches and an entree. Our dinner started out great, but ended badly. I ordered the Gyros sandwich and I have to say that it's one of the best gyros sandwiches I've had in DFW. It's hard to find a place that actually uses a rotary gyro machine. The cuts are fresh and not pre-packaged, pre-sliced cuts of meat. Sadly, most places use the pre-sliced meat. It was nice to see this place uses the thick chunk, fresh cuts of gyro meat. We also ordered the cheeseburger combo. I was little disappointed that they had run out of American cheese for the burger. They topped the sandwich with shredded Mozzarella instead. Don't know why they couldn't just get some more cheese from the store down the street. I used to run a restaurant and that's what I did when I was running low on essential ingredients. The mozzarella really downgraded the taste. The sandwich was par at best. Nothing you couldn't pull off making at home. Then we ordered the Ziti Alfredo with Chicken. This is where it all went downhill. The Ziti was overcooked. The pasta would fall apart when you stuck a fork in it. The Alfredo sauce was watery. Not creamy like it should be and there was an odd smell coming out of it as well. The chicken barely had any flavor. It seemed like they took some chicken breast, lightly sprinkled lemon juice and red chilli powder over it, grilled it, and just added a FEW small cut pieces into the pasta. I seriously have made pasta 10x better with store brand pasta and sauce than what I got here. It was not worth the money or the wait at all. Terribly disappointed. The bread we got with the pasta was not that great either. It was more like pieces of pizza crust given on the side with butter. This place was very highly rated, so I was a bit sad to have this experience. If I every go back, then I'll just have to try the pizza and the fried chicken. That seems to be what everyone keep raving about. I give the Gyros sandwich 4 stars. The cheeseburger gets a 3 and the Ziti Alfredo with chicken gets a 1.

★★★  I have tried 3 different kinds of their Pizza one was pretty good the other two were not bad either, sorry forgot which one was good but it had chicken. Their chicken sandwich is good. This place may not be the cleanest place on earth but they are doing good job to keep it up food is cheap though. Overall it was not a bad experience. I would definitely recommend trying it at least once.

★★★  Based on the reviews I had the expecation of walking into an authentic new york pizza shop. Needless to say, that was not the case. The pizza was OK, but nothing great. What was however disgusting was the fried chicken. First of all, it took them 40 minutes to make it and the guy claimed he couldn't do anything because thats how long it takes. Secondly, it had no taste. The batter coating was absolutely gross, it is not the fried chicken you would get anywhere else. It tasted like boiled chicken.

★★★★★  The best pizza I have ever had, very tasty. We also tried fried chicken and delicious onion rings. All the food was great quality and awesome price. We drove about 45 min to go to this place just because of the reviews.

The owner is very nice and friendly. Good clean environment. The only thing is we had to drive 45 min, but others have driven from Houston too so no big deal for us. Well worth the visit!

★★★★★  We went here for the lunch buffet and it was great. What a fabulous combination of pizza and fried chicken. The chicken is delicious and so is the pizza with its variety of toppings. I ate everything on the buffet and it was delicious. And the owners and employees are very friendly and courteous. This has become a regular place for us...

★★★★  NY's Famous Pizza and Wings was a pleasant surprise. The food (gyro, burger, cheesesteaks, nuggets) was good, albeit not exceptional, but the service certainly was fantastic. The friendliness of the owner and staff cannot be overstated!

The staff is super friendly and did everything to make sure that our family was comfortable.

★★★★★  If you are looking for great pizza, chicken and Italian food made the NY way this is the place. Everything on the menu is great and halal, family owned and operated and service is fantastic. Alot of halal resturants can learn a thing or two from NYF. Finally a halal place in Arlington, sick of driving to carrolton and richardson. If you have not been here yet you are missing out. Oh yeah don't forget to try the canoli and cheese cake, very very good.

★★★★★  I've been there 2 times in a week - and I live atleast 40 miles away.

Chicken is great, hamburgers, pizza, strombolis. The philly cheesesteak was ok - should use mozarella cheese instead of american - and the wings aren't too good. But the chicken - great! Worth the drive!!

Very extensive menu, will take me months to get through it all!

I'm adding to my review - I drive atleast 3 times a month from Frisco to Arlington - around 40 miles, just for a good meal. In addition to the pizza, friend chicken, and the usual - try the chicken parmigiana, as well as the chicken kabob platter. Now, as you start to wonder why one would order afghani food at a pizza place - trust me, try it once and you'll understand!

I wish I could give this place more stars!

Drove over 120 miles to try this place, and it was well worth it. Sooo many things on the menu, don't know where to start......can't wait to try the rest of the menu!

★★★★★  New York's Famous Pizza is absolutely my favorite restaurant in Arlington. The food is delicious, and the personalities of the staff really make this restaurant a most pleasurable experience. The pizza is the best -- the sauce and the cheese taste so fresh that you will not want to go back to other pizza places to east.

★★★★★  The restaurant's staff was cordial. A pleasant greeting from the host and the folks in the kitchen. The taste and quality of the food equally matched the customer service. Great halal fried chicken and sandwiches. The menu is jam-packed with a variety of halal goodies. Definitely enough to suffice a starvin' Marvin. Don't hesitate to give this restaurant a try.
