| ★★★★ It's good depending on what you eat. Last week I ate Chapli kabab and it was really good. This week I ordered Gyro Sandwich which was not good since I have eaten good gyros in past. This is a Desi restaurant, their speciality is desi food. So I assume that they won't be as good when they make middle-eastern food. I recommend ordering Pakistani/desi food here. |

| ★★★★ I've actually only ever had the sandwiches here. Based on that alone, I think East West is great. Their Philly cheesesteak and their cheeseburger are bomb. The cheesesteak really is the best halal cheesesteak in the DMV. It's not greasy, not dry, not skimpy, and full of flavor. The fries are so good! I've tried the lamb burger and the grilled chicken sandwich, also very good. The prices are reasonable, it's like $7 for a sandwich with fries, and it's just enough to fill you up. The service is great, the uncles there are pretty friendly. I came here with my parents before and they had some of the kabobs and stuff and they seemed to like it. I just cant resist the cheesesteak whenever I'm there... |

I don't like the Desi food, but the American food (cheeseburger, steak & cheese) is great and cheap. Everything's clean enough. Meals are large. And the atmosphere doesn't become bad after midnight (somehow the mischievous and drunk stay out). Area's somewhat not as nice after midnight though. |

The guy at the counter was very friendly. The only problem was that it seemed like they were saving money on electricity and it was hot inside. I would take my food home and eat it. |

| ★★★★ East West is a good place. They get it! Generally, when desis try to serve up American fare, they always (inadvertently, I'm sure) add a desi twist to everything. For example, some american wannabe desi restaurants will add chili powder or chaat masala to french fries and serve it with mango pickle achar as a dipping sauce. However, at East/West they serve American food as American and desi as desi. The cheeseburger was okay, but everything else was superb! The steak and cheese sub is real good, as are the chicken strips with Honey Mustard sauce (NOT Chutney). On the desi side of the menu, the beef nehari was fantastic and the naan and daal were very good as well. East West is above average and I highly recommend this place. |
