| | ★★★★ If you want an elegant sit-down experience, you'll want to go to a pricey Persian restaurant, but if you're looking for tasty and affordable Persian fare, this is a great option. You'll get plastic utentils instead of silverware, and somewhat smaller portions, but the food is of comparable quality. The place is clean, and everything is freshly prepared. You can get a nice plate of food for $7-10, and I like that the plates come with a little bit of yoghurt and Shirazi salad so you don't have to order these sides separately unless you want extra. The chicken is moist and perfectly cooked, and the kebab is also tender and flavorful. The white rice is delicious too. By the way, the meat used is halal. I only wish they offered a few more types of rice and other Persian dishes.
This place will now be one of my regular lunch or dinner spots.
Update: Sept. 2010: They are no longer including the small yoghurt & shirazi salad sides, claiming that they were part of the grand opening period only. Have expanded their menu with some various rice (polo) offerings. Prices still reasonable. |
