★★ Recently took a trip from the Us to HK. The Halal melas were indian. The evening meal a chicken curry and rice and the breakfast was a vegitarian curry with rice. the meal was the same on the way back. The masala smell was very strong and had most most other passengers sitting close to us looking at us funny. Did eat about 1/2 of both meals on the way to HK and partially of the first meal on the way back. In both cases I had an extremely upset stomach which left me feeling bloated and a case of the runs. If I ever get to go on Cathay again I'll stick to the vegitarian meal.
★★★ I took Cathay Pacific Airlines on my trip to Seoul, transited at HK. Halal food was available; you have to request for it upon purchase of the tickets. However, I would say that there's not much variety in their halal food. For all 4 flight legs, they served Indian food.
★★★★★ I travelled from Toronto to Jakarta via Hong Kong return in 2008. All muslim meals served were very nice with no problems. They have a big muslim population in SE Asia so are very used to halal food.
★★★ Assalamualaikum. I travelled from Kuala Lumpur to LA and they did serve Moslem Meal. I even got Moslem sandwich when everyone else got ham & cheese. Alhamdulillah..food was ok..not as good as Malaysian Airline though (honestly!). And this one I guess everyone will agree..they take forever to pick up your trays. Plus for long distance flight, there's no Musollah..not even a space..so you hv to perform solah in your seat.
★★★ My wife travelled from Singapore to HK early this year and they did serve her with halal food (request was done right at the point of booking your ticket). Service was so-so but being the out-of-the-norm order, halal food was served 1st!!
★ I traveled last year from san francisco to karachi pakistan it was very bad expireans i will never traval again with this airline we did not recived ours food right means we order halal food we did not get and sevice was very bad and my camera got stolen sevice was very slow what can i say horable expirence.
