★★★★★  The meals are very fresh and always hot. Meals are not spicy so South Asians do not always like it. Quantity is more than most carriers I have travelled and quality is really excellent. Salads, desert and kebab meals are really good.

Referring to your message please be advised that meal served on our flights does not contain any pork products. Also please note that all food loaded to Turkish Airlines flights from Istanbul are halal food. However, from some other destinations eventhough no pork products is being used the meat served may not fit to Islamic slaughter.

Special Needs
B/C child menu on our E/R flights

A great deal of research has been done for children of age groups 1-6, 7-12 and 13 and above. These groups are further divided into basic nutritives, minerals and vitamins. The wide range of nutrition trends of children of different age groups based on ethnic, religious or medical grounds are generalized to become part of the entire flight experience.

Children have the need for a variety of foods and healthy nutrition. Salt and sugar have been added to the meals in their natural form which helps to develop the childrens' taste.

There is no special meal service in Domestic Routes.

You can ask for special meal requests during reservation for the tickets bought from Turkish Airlines which are used for other codeshare airlines.

"Special meal requests" must be submitted at the time of booking or at least 24 hours prior to scheduled departure time of your flight.

CHML (Child Meal): Your children will simply love the special child menu, served as part of a special children's kit including toys to keep them amused and occupied.

BBML (Baby Meal): Your baby's needs are as important to us as they are to you. Vegetable and fruit based meals for your baby will be available on our flights if you make your request when you make your reservation. Our flights also provide a "baby kit" that includes nappies.Special Needs

★★★  During various trips b/w Prague & Karachi, the food is not very good - just OK. No idea about Halal but when I asked the crew they confirmed me that all food is Halal.

2
Baltimore, MD
★★★  flight from JFK to Istanbul: flight attendant told me food is "halal" in the sense that it contains no pork. It is not zabihah, except when the flight originates from Turkey (or other Muslim countries, I presume).

Turkey
★★★★★  After they changed their supplier(Gategourmet to DO&CO) for foods the quality is really good know. When they fly from Turkey the food is halal but i don't know it is still halal when they are flying from another contry to Turkey. This question is valid for all other airlines too.

★★★  The food was basically edible, nothing great (its airline food after all) but bring some snacks along-some horrors are the eggs (i swear i thought it was a plastic product at first) and all bread items (also taste plasticy.) Thus, bring some of your own carbs.

United States
★★★★★  All food served by Turkish Airways is Halal, but they also service vine and some other drinks containing alcohol

United States
★★★★  On flight from JFK to Karachi via Ist. Food is 'nice', though not sure if it is all Halal. Desserts are especially good. Also, make sure to get lunch coupon if you have a long stop-over in Istanbul.
