NR Air Kazakhstan (officially called Air Astana) in my opinion is not Halal. During my flight from Almaty to Dubai, I asked for Halal food and was amazed to see that the Air hostess, a Kazakh girl, had no idea what Halal food is. Then I asked for vegetarian food. They provided me Egg omelet but with sausages. So, I would urge all the readers to ask specifically for Halal food one day before your flight if you are traveling / flying with Air Astana.
