★★★  Domestic United flights do not have Halal items, but usually have a vegetarian option (only in first class). The meals are good as you would expect in a premium cabin. In Economy class you have to purchase food (try fruit/cheese box).

★★  Flight from London to Washington had halal food which also included a sweet dipped in sugar syrup and pickle which nearly tasted home made. Unfortunately, on the way back from Washington to London, although booked, halal food was not provided - not much one can do at that stage!!

★★★  I ordered Halal meal. In the flight from Chicago to London the meal was just a boring Vegi thing. In the flight back from London to Washington, they gave some vegetable Pakistani style thing with a Pakistani Sweet BURFI and some Shahi Supari which they got from London. American airlines are not good in meal service or probabliy the defination of good food to Yankees is different :(

★★  London Washington business class return:
Indian-style veggie meal, whilst halal and tasting OKish, was not exactly inspiring and honestly looked like a plate of puke. Service OK though.

we took united from washington to germany and i ate a lasagna which had only sauce and cheese. Suffice it to say that i ended up throwing up three times on the flight. If i were you, DONT eat the food, drink the juice and eat the peanuts.

★★★★  Nice airline, food is decent when available, the Muslim meal was well cooked. Hope they pull out of their financial problems.

NR  When ever I travel, I always take a sandwich with a snack that I can eat, even if I had requested halal food. Sometimes there are delays and the airport does not have much choices either.

Really bad Moselm Meal. Avoid United Airlines food.

★★★★★  I've been flying United between SFO and Paris (the only airline I've decided to stick with). I always request halal meal, in the economy class. The food have been good, and varied. I decided to stick with United just because of my horrible service that I received with other airlines, mainly Air France && British Airways, and Lufthansa. So go with United and emphasize on your strict halal diet.

United States
I ve been flying with this flight several time few weeks back from Asian country to US and return. From South Asian Country, i was served with white rice..delicious for long hours flight...then the real drama came in when i fly from Japan to US and back to my home country...first of all...its indian food, i could say (i think). i was serve with the same "moslem" meal for the whole trip...i repeat...the same meal...halva, vege, rice with dhall, and naan bread. if you having the same meal for long hours flight, you may get bored...please take muslim flight for long journey flight...you may pay extra but you'll satisfied...

★★★★★  On several flights, I found the Muslim meal was top notch for airplane food. Chicken was moist, and all food was warm where appropriate. True, you get the same thing over and over, which is no different from my home cooking habits. So in that sense, it felt like home!

★★★  on trip to UK, the "muslim meal" i had was a boiled chicken breast, on which i had to add salt and salad dressing to render some sort of flavor" to my dismay, the actual regular flight meal on that particular trip was smoked salmon, which looked and smelled delicious! i didnt feel so bad when the rabii's jewish meal next to me was pretty shabby as well!

Made a reuqest for Moslem meal but when we where in flight they said they had none for us. We had confirmed it twice before flying. Would not recomend the food or airlines

I recently flew United on a overseas flight. My "Muslim" meal was white rice (Atleast couple of days old), defrosted and still cold and crunchy. It was plain white rice with some cubed pieces of cold carrots. I would think jail food is probably better. The so called halva was smoked to oblivion so much, that the "halva" was melted to the plastic it came in . Believe it or not that was my meal. Therefore, I asked them to feed me some vegetarian dishes of the standard menu, they refused. So I ended up eating four boxes of cookies and choclates that I bought off a store before departing. And my flight was 15 hrs long, direct..

I would recommend to fly a muslim flght overseas. Otherwise, most airlines don't care about muslim meals. Because, unfortunately many muslims don't care about halal yet. So they inturn due to low demand, server as cold white rice with cold baby carrots. Yummy!!!!

★★★★  Standard Indian vegetarian fare, labeled as "Moslem" meal. Always better (it looks like it, anyway) than the standard meals available. Not too spicy.

★★★  Fairly decent food, although sometimes they get lazy... on long flights, I've received the same meal twice. Breakfasts are sometimes not to par. But you can count on getting your food before anyone else, leaving people salivating all around you. And the halvah is scrumptious! I took a few of those home with me!
