Northern Virginia is home to the majority of Metro DC's Muslim population. In the area stretching from Alexandria to Arlington and Falls Church you will find a variety of very good Halal restaurants. The variety of the restaurants reflects the diversity of the Muslim community here: Pakistani, Indian, Iraqi, Afghani, Palestinian, Lebanese, Malaysian, Persian, African-American, etc. Outside of NYC and Michigan, Northern Virginia has the largest concentration of Muslim-Americans in the entire country. You can have a halal meal, browse an Islamic bookstore and prayer at a local masjid without ever traveling more than 3 miles.
