★★★★★ Good food, good service.
Thanks. Posted on October 10, 2018 |

★★★★☆ Came here recently with my family for a dinner party of about 30 people. Service was good, it was setup for a buffet. Wide selection for the price. Haleem was very tasty. Naan was served fresh and hot on our tables. Biryani was average. Very convenient for salah, as they have a prayer area with wudhu facilities upstairs, no need to even step outside. ★★★★★ Their service and food quality have increased over the time. I had a buffet their today and food was really tasty. Service was good as well. Good quite environment - no loud musing like lahore tikka. Prayer area in the same building is very convinient as well Posted on February 4, 2012 |

★★☆☆☆ We went there last week and ordered lahor charga, achar beef served with plain naan and mint yoghurt chutney. The food was tasty, but the service was extremely slow. The atmosphere's not very amicable. Posted on May 27, 2011 |

★☆☆☆☆ what happened to me , really i dont beleive my eyes even , when i make payment for the lahori charga( surely overpriced ) , and naan ,for takeout, and left some money in a tip-box for the lady at counter, suddenly the management guy (having a party with his friends at corner table) jump over ,start asking the lady what is the order, meanwhile took the money OUT of the tipbox and put in his own pocket, I really couldnt beleive that...........for sure this can happen in a desi rest.
as they have advertised they have prayer place at there place so i asked the same guy, If I can pray while i wait for the order, ,he said please go outside and find a place .. well what can i expect from this cheap management .... using deen as a tool for advertisement, if he dont want me to pray at his place could have said , why sent me outside in the cold to find nothing,
for sure i dont want to see this guy face again Posted on January 9, 2011 |

★★☆☆☆ Well heard a lot about the restaurant was disappointed with the buffet. The barbeque chicken was cold and the buffet was over rated. Not too many choices when it comes to starters or deserts. You had to ask the staff to fill the stuff like naans. Need to improve the food menu for Buffet so it becomes worth for the money.
Drove from mississauga and was disappointed. Posted on November 18, 2010 |

★★★☆☆ This place is only ok. Directly in front of the highly coveted Lahore Tikka House on Gerrard St. I tried the dinner buffet. Extremely expensive and not worth it. Next time I go I may try some of the tandoori grill items as the buffet is highly overrated. Posted on September 21, 2010 |

★★★☆☆ The service here was always a bit spotty. But, I was able to count on the good food and fresh naans. Consistency is a problem so it's a hit or miss. I'd like to add that I'm a regular at the original 786 Halal Restaurant in Montreal. Night and day. Posted on August 9, 2010 |

★★☆☆☆ 786 Halal Restaurant what happened to you? The one in Montreal is the best halal restaurant in the city, but I guess it has to be since there isnt much competition unlike Toronto.... Anyway I agree with the last couple of reviews, the food quality and quantity has gone down but the price has gone up. I used to be a regular but have completely stopped going here after they served me a nice long hair to go with my chicken tikka massala. Posted on July 26, 2010 |

★★☆☆☆ Food is below par and way too expensive. Posted on July 12, 2010 |

★★★☆☆ used to go to this place alot when it was new, even held cople of birthday parties there... the service is good when you have a big party or order alot, but not so much when you have a small order or take out - ordered 6 naans and after 20 minutes of waiting found out it'll take another 30 minutes since no one placed my ordered, ended up leaving without any naans. actually they are not good with takeouts, somehow they allways forget to add something. over all i don't mind the place, the service and wait time is either a hit or a miss. ★★☆☆☆ my self and my wife went there last weekend, we ordered Lahori Chargah ($17.99), plain naans (1.50) and Garlic Naan ($1.99)
Pros: The charga was good, Nans were hot, the mint chatni was not bad, and it was (At least at that time) a family environment
Cons:
over priced for sure
The glass that i was being served water in was very dirty, i called the waiter and showed it to him, he apologized and brought ANOTHER DIRTY glass? dang!
The Garlic Naan had NO taste of Garlic, it was really a plain naan, that they oiled up with perhaps something that they thought would taste like garlic, but it didnt (or may be the just brought us a rogni naan)
the naan's are over priced as well, 1.50 for one plain naan, com'on man.
the worst part was the service, we had to call the waiter for every thing, for napkins, they didnt serve us any plates, i had to go to the counter to ask them for it, for chatni, for really every thing i had to call them.
and i do not blame the waiters for that, i blame the owners, there were only two waiters on a sunday eve, when a lot of people are out for dinner, dude if you want to over price at least give some good service.
conclusion:
this was my second and most likely the last visit to this place. Posted on April 9, 2010 |

★☆☆☆☆ My wife and I went there to eat after Tarabi in Ramadan. We ordered seekh kebab, after 5 minutes waiter came in and said they are out of it. Then we ordered Chana Masala and asked for the waiter's recommendation. He suggested Chicken Jafrezi. So we ordered that. The food was served in about 12 minutes. Chicken Jalfrezi was made out of boiled chicken with some onions, lots of can crushed tomatoes and green peppers. Seemed like everything was put into pan tossed together and served. There was water dripping from chicken and both chickpeas and chicken were horrible. We expressed our observation with Waiter and he took it back and brought the same stuff (reheated) in 5 minutes. Absolutely no change. We tried the stuff and it was again the same. We expressed our dissatisfaction to the Waiter, however he just said we are sorry sir..and charged us without acknowledging our dissatisfaction. He also said that chef is the same and he cannot do anything.
I think they need to learn the lessons of Hospitality...just putting food on the table doesn't mean that you have done your part in the restaurant. People go there for food and to be served!!! Horrible experience and we would never go to his place again....that one thing is for sure!!! Posted on September 10, 2008 |

★☆☆☆☆ Food is horrible and whats worse is the service. I would never take anyone there. Its very sad as you have to ask the waiter for water initially and grab napkins from a different table as there are no napkins on your own table. Really sad. Ruined the evening Posted on August 11, 2008 |

★★★★☆ I went two times, once with my friend and once with my family. I tried Lahori Charga, Chicken Tikka Masala, Chana Masala. These three items were very good. The price is a little bit high. The only thing which I didn't like is that the washrooms are very dirty. The Managment should do something about it Posted on January 31, 2008 |

★★★★★ Very clean and well layed our restaurant. The service is great and the food is even better. I've tried the Chicken Biryani and Raas Malai both impressed me enough to come back for more. Good place to take family for a good nights dinner. Prices are average, and the menu has selection to please everyone. I will defintley go back again. Posted on April 8, 2007 |
