The menus at this restaurant clearly state that Halal food is served. From the management: 'We serve 100% Zabiha Halal meat. All chickens are corn fed free range chickens, free of hormones and chemicals used for increasing shelf life.'

★★★★★ We were pleasantly surprised to find Casa Medina. We went to eat Halal Pakistani food to Bismillah and discovred Bismillah owners had convered it to Halal Mexican restaurant and moved Bismillah to another location in the same mall . So Halal authenticy was confirmed. We didnt know what to order. Staff was courtouus to help us walk through the menu. We ended up ordering Enchiladas & Spicy Flame Broiled chicken with beans. Both dishes were tasty. Food was served in less than minutes. Free salad, salasa & chips made 10 minutes look like 1 minute. Great food , great service with smile & clean restaurant with ESPN . What elese we need. Posted on February 23, 2014 |

NR This place is no longer available. Maybe the location has been changed or something! The restaurant that is there in this location right now is called Alaadin and I don't think it is halaal! Posted on February 15, 2016 |

★★★★☆ This is a nice place, service was good. I had a burrito and some wings, the burrito was very good with plenty of meat and good flavour. Wings were ok, deep fried but not a lot of flavour or sauces etc. This is a grocery store and restaurant in one and pretty clean place too Posted on May 13, 2015 |

★★★★★ Casa Medina Mexican Grill and Bismillah Kabob-N-Curry is one of the very few "hand-zabiha" eatout in San diego. Great, flavorful food. Definitely get cravings to go to this place. If you love food this is your spot. Never a miss. Posted on January 1, 2015 |

★★★★★ There is mistake. Casa Medina Mexican Grill is very much into business. We ate there yeterday. They have two locations in the same mall. 5440 Clairemont Mesa Blvd. It is not a fine dinning restaurant. It is on sectin of Halal market with an average clean setting with GREAT food. probably only genuine Halal Mexican food in Southern California. Valid Halal certification is clealy visible on the premises. Table next to us was occupied by Tablig Jamat guys.
We ate Carnia Asada wth Fries and rolled Tacos both were Delicious . I loved their Chipotle sauce too. Posted on December 29, 2014 |
We've reopened the listing |

★★★★★ We found about thi place from locl mosque ICSD in San Diego. It is the only Halal Mexican restaurant in San Diego. We wanted try something different we gave it a shot. Place littel tough to find, as it is shifted to Halal market. Apparently same owner owns both Halal Market and Restaurant. Halal Certificate by Snadiego Halal board is visible at the premises.
Place is very simple deli setting with no restaurant like ambience . However food is amazing. We ordered Beef Burrito & Carnia Asda with Fries. Wow it was delicious . At first we though the quantity would be more than we could finish, we could not stop ...
I hope to see similar non Desi food joints in big cities. Posted on November 11, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ This place seems to be closed down.
The address takes you to an Indian restaurant.
What a disappointment Posted on October 23, 2014 |

★★★★★ At last we have a choice now. We either have Halal Indian or Mediterranian or some Chinese restaurants. We head it from our family freinds at San Diego and took a risk of traveling for 2 hours to try Halal Mexican food. It was worth the drive. Food was amazingly fresh. I have been eating Fish Burrtos & tacos at mexican chains. Casa Medina offers Beef, Chicken varieties. Beef burrito was juicy and tons of meat inside. My wife tried enchiladas and was content... finish the plate. I am hooked on this place. It lookes like 100% CLEAN mexican restaurant with 100% mexican staff, including very coordial front staff, except owners. I had the please of seeing them who also own Halal market across Casa Medina. They were working on renovation to start Indian/Pakistani food. Both the places show Halal Certificates by Halal Board of San Diego. Which is a good sign. We did not have to rely on verbal assurances of staff who sometinmes dont even know if they are muslims. Posted on February 23, 2014 |

★★★★★ First genuine Halal Mexican food. Our friends tolds us owners are well known practicing muslims in the community. We ate Carnia asada with fries, it was excellent. Fish Tacos were equally good. Posted on February 23, 2014 |
