661 College Street, Toronto, ON M5S 1Y3
Ghazale Middle Eastern and Vegetarian Foods first opened its doors in Toronto’s trendy Annex neighborhood in March 1995. The popularity of Ghazale’s delicious, health-conscious Middle Eastern fare quickly spread beyond the Annex, eventually prompting the owners to expand to serve five more Toronto neighborhoods. Named after founder Ghazale Ahmad, Ghazale was the realization of Mrs. Ahmad’s dream to start a restaurant that would allow her to share her home-style Lebanese food with her fellow Torontonians. Mrs. Ghazale’s determination, along with the support of her family and great staff have helped shape Ghazale into one of the best Middle Eastern restaurants in Toronto. ★★☆☆☆ Went here on recommendation of other internet posts. Was disappointed in food. I had a chicken shawarma sandwich and falafels. The chicken used in the sandwich were pre-cut, cold, and very large. There was also a bone in it. The whole wheat pita used was of the average kind you find in the grocery store. It was breaking apart as they stuffed it. Shawarma had no pickles or anything even though I asked for everything. Falafels were decent but if you've had some from the middle east, it can't compare. Biggest problem was that it wasn't fresh. I probably won't be returning. Prices were reasonable though. Posted on February 12, 2009 |

★★★★★ Great Food, Even better Prices. Great experience with the restaurant, owners are super nice as well. Catered a party and portions were more than generous for the price.
A must try, do go there if you are in the area or get ur food catered from them. Posted on October 5, 2006 |

★★★★★ Salams.
I was very satisfied by both the chicken shwarmas and the falafels from this location. The food was great, the service is friendly and the prices are the best that you will find.
I strongly recommend Ghazale for catering needs. We asked Ghazale to cater an event for 100 people and they exceeded all of our expectations and provided a GREAT meal at a very low price. The quality of the food was superb and the portions were great as well. For a very low price (comparable to that of pizza and wings), we were able to provide a buffet of Chicken Shwarma, Chicken rice, Lentil rice, Falafels, Hommus, Tabouli, 2 other salads, fried veggies (eggplant and zuchini), and one other great vegetarian dish. We will for sure use Ghazale again for catering given the opportunity. Posted on September 29, 2006 |

★★★★★ Authentic Middle Eastern food at very reasonable prices. Great for muslim U of T students looking for a great, reliable (Halal) place to eat. Unfortunately, however, it is not a full restaurant (i.e. no dine-in). Posted on June 5, 2001 |
