The menus at this restaurant clearly state that Halal food is served. From the owner: 'All our meats are halal in both our locations.'

★☆☆☆☆ The food is actually not bad. However the owner always treats whites better than East Indians. He will always give them better service. I refuse to return to this restaurant. Posted on February 23, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Good food, albeit a little pricy. Their chicken pilipili was really good. Posted on July 31, 2007 |

★★★★☆ I have ate here once. The food I thought was good. A little different from the regular Indian/Paki food. A bit pricey though. I would eat here again. Posted on July 23, 2007 |

★★★★★ Well well, if it isn't the fellow (Bisco) that calls me a racist and yaps on about how he knows that this restaurant isn't Halal through a friend of a friend. Third generation banter is never accurate? Well rather than take your friend of a friend's advice I'd rather make my own opinion than be a total prat. I know the owner personally and the food here is fantastic. If you insist on badgering the guy then you deserve the cold shoulder - if it were my restaurant I'd turf you out on the sidewalk - preferably through the front window.
I've had nothing but great service from either of his locations in Vancouver and I'll say unequivocally that he makes the best ribs in town. His Cornish hens are really good, the Halibut is superb and the Kenyan style dishes with ugali are really good too. Posted on July 7, 2007 |

★★★☆☆ WHY is this restaurant considered halal? It's NOT!!! I asked the owner if the meat is "Zabiah" and he didn't know what I was talking about. Plus, I know some friends whose parents are friends w/ the owners... nope! NOT halal. But they do make great lassis, mango/pistachio cheesecake, and seafood dishes. Not to mention their mahugos... ★★★★☆ Still active Oct 24, 2006. All halal meats according to waitress, halal meat shop directly next door so I believe it. Beef ribs very nice, chicken wings very nice. Huge huge portions, I eat a lot and got 2 full meals out of one dish. Posted on October 25, 2006 |

★★★☆☆ Fantastic food owner SUX! He needs to be a bit nicer and get off his high horse. The food is great, but his attitude makes you want to go somewhere else. BE NICER! Posted on November 22, 2004 |

★★★★★ Great food. Excellent service. Prices are higher than average. Kuku Chuma is around 15$ (incl tax) but very tasty. The owner seems to be Ismaili as the picture of prince Karim Agha Khan is prompty displayed at counter. They claim serving halal meat though. Posted on October 24, 2004 |

★★★★★ We eat here often and the food is excellent. The owner is from Kenya and very friendly. Everything is great but the Kuku Choma and the Seekh Kebab are our favourite. Posted on January 21, 2003 |

★★★★★ Fantastic food. The beef ribs are incredible as is the cornish hen. Don't miss the mogo fries either. Go for the mild or medium spice level unless you're really sure you can handle the hot level. Posted on June 5, 2002 |
