★★☆☆☆ I have eaten here three times now. I ordered two or three different dishes the first time. The second time I ordered lamb korma and their chicken dish with potatoes, I think vindaloo but not sure. It wasnt that spicy. The lamb korma was fine. The third time I went I ordered the lamb korma and their chicken tikka masala I believe. The lamb korma did not taste like the time I had it before. I cant comment on the tikka masala as I rarely order this dish so cant do a comparison. I personally prefer other restaurants for similar food. Posted on November 5, 2014 |

★★☆☆☆ Bland tasteless food. Ordered biryani, Haleem, reshmi Kabab, naan and butter chicken. Everything was under seasoned. Prevailing lack of any sort of taste even in the naan. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and we were the only ppl there, service was good. The place is quite old and desperately needs renovation. Posted on September 9, 2014 |

★★★★☆ Nice halal special menu for kids, and they're pizza is actually really good.

★★★★★ Assalamu alaikum
I had Tahir Bhai cater my sons wedding he is the best!
He let me and family taste some dishes and they all tested so good. The food has a different Pakistani style .I had the 5 events with him and i am very proud to say that he keeps his word. We had the nikka in their banquet hall, and it went very well. The food was the talk of that night, and the decorations and restaurant is beautiful.
Highly recommended for weddings and events.
P.S Hyderbadi biryani is Mughal's signature dish plus the Kheer and Shahi Tukra for dessert Posted on January 19, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ Decided to have some paki food before going to Disneyland and per zabiha reviews this seemed like a decent place, wrong.. Got there at noon and it was empty which was a bad sign already but figured it may just be too early, wrong.. There was a reason why no one was there, because the food was old. Wife ordered chicken boti plate, son ordered chicken tikka bowl and both had chicken that seemed like it was made a week ago and just heated up. I ordered the seekh kabob which was also tasted old. Mango lassi either was made with bad yogurt, or the mango they used was old. So all in all, would not recommend this place. I just didn't have the heart to tell them to they're face. There's always a 50/50 chance with indo pak restaurants... Posted on November 27, 2013 |

★★★☆☆ it's a good place when you're visiting OC. I was there with my family and ordered a take out. Chicken tikka was good but dry and Nihari was ok. It's definitely a place to try. Price is little high. Posted on September 17, 2013 |

★★★★★ I went by this restaurant last night with my family. The food was worth it. My family ordered some masala fish, beef seekh kabob, chicken tikka masala and nihari. It was really good! Better than other places I have tried. My kids loved the chicken tikka masala. Staff was friendly. The manager came up to us to ask us how we liked the food. We will definitely coming back. Dont forget to try the garlic naan! Posted on May 13, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ My first time to Mugal restaurant was on 2012 thanksgiving. The place was empty and we ordered pizza, the server said no pizza, then we ordered beef biryani, said no beef, we ordered chicken biryani- that was so sloppy and pathetic. The butter chicken seemed to have waste flap parts of the chicken meat. The plater was stale and the salad was huge chunks of onion and cucumber. The table cloth had food stains and place smelled stale. The only thing good n fresh was the naan. Waste of money and waste of time. I have eaten at Indian restaurants in New Zealand, Australia, Dubai, Canada and USA but this was my worst experience especially wen u tak your family out for thanks giving dinner. Do not defame the Mogual name place. I wanted to hire the place for my friends wedding but no longer recomend this place to anyone. Posted on November 25, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ Place was Ok price wise and the manger had a nice attitude but there are not too many dishes in the buffet. They mentioned 30 dishes but it seems like they count salad ingredients as well in their selection :) really missed Nihari and Paye which are totally absent. The taste is average not too good. For Poori you need to inform them so that they can provide you. Place is nice. I was told by my family member that only one bathroom was available and it was very dirty. Posted on September 4, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ Place was very clean inside, food was okay nothing special. Asked for a soda and they told me they dont sell that, never heard of that. It was okay overall. Posted on July 10, 2012 |

★★★★☆ I liked the selection, I tried almost everything. Somosa's were a bit plain. Chow mein was pretty good, not a big fan of the fried rice, but my friend liked it.
The bathrooms were NOT that clean. My opinion, bathrooms tell u a lot bout the cleanliness, unfortunately that wasn't the case here Posted on July 9, 2012 |

★★★★★ My family was in the Huntington beach area and decided to stop by afterwards. My wife and I are really into indian food so we decided to check this place out. We ordered haleem, chicken sikh kabob, and chicken tikka masala and naan. Food tasted fresh and delicious! They even added halal pizza on the menu which was better than the pizza I usually eat. The food was mild, they offered to make it spicy if we liked. There was one main manager there, he was polite and assisted us in any way that he could. Overall, it was a good experinece with some good food. I will definitely be back. Posted on July 2, 2012 |

★★★★☆ ASA. I tried Mughal's buffet once after a friend's graduation, they had a lot of items to choose from. The place was a little empty when we got there and since it was late afternoon, the food was dry. I was iffy about going there again but thought I would give the place another chance. This time my friends and I decided to dine in and order food from the menu. This made a HUGE difference. Food quality and freshness was amazing. Their chicken tikka masala was my favorite. My advice- take your time, order from their menu and make your decision- you will not be disappointed! Posted on July 2, 2012 |

★★☆☆☆ Been twice now and each time I was served with what I would not regard as a quality indian meal. First was a Karai and second time a Chicken Korma. Both looked the same and tasted, well tasteless. Nothing like what they should taste like. Management it's time to change the chef. Posted on May 18, 2012 |

|
★★★★☆ Food was pretty good and they give very large portions for the price. We came late so there was no one there except us, therfore the service was quick. Posted on May 13, 2012 |
|
|
★★★★☆ The food quality was decent. It needed salt, but luckily they had salt shakers on the table. They owner did not smile one time, but unfortunately I have grown to expect this from desi restaurants.
The reason I am giving this an "above average" rating is because they had items on the menu other than the typical items at every desi restaurant. I recommend the garlic chicken. Posted on March 20, 2012 |

|
★★☆☆☆ Food taste is not consistent. One day you might get something really good another it will just be ..... lets say non-edible. I tried to give this place a few chances thinking that the chef might be having a bad day but finally I'm done with it. Posted on January 9, 2012 |

★★★★★ We went there after fun-filled yet long and tiring day @ Knott's Berry farm and were pleased to find out that all the positive reviews about this place are right on the money.
We tried their chicken tandoori, nihari, chicken karahi, naan and sweet lassi - everything tasted fresh and delicious.
Joseph (manager) was very funny, friendly and extremely helpful.
We will definitely return to this place on our next visit to S. Cal...ISA. Posted on July 11, 2011 |

★★★★☆ I was passing down magnolia ave and came across this restaurant. the $7.99 buffet was a hit! There was so many items to choose from, I really loved their famous biryani and nehari. ★☆☆☆☆ We ate at their food stall at Pakistan day. We had Biryani, haleem and chicken Tikka. Biryani and haleem were really bad. Chicken Tikka was alright. Posted on August 20, 2010 |

★☆☆☆☆ regretted the moment we stepped in. horrible welcome. rude staff. never had such a bad experience at any restaurant. walked out without ordering anything. will never visit again. Posted on August 18, 2010 |

★★☆☆☆ We found the food to be dry and very bland. There was one other person in the restaurant at the time - a good indication that this was not a particularly good place to eat. Posted on August 3, 2010 |

|
★★★☆☆ Let me start with the best aspect of this restaurant and that's the food. They've the tastiest curries and biryani. Buffet is very generous and dishes are delectable.
The reason I chose to give it three star is the same reason that plagues a lot of Indian or Pakistani restaurants i.e. constant onslaught of Indian songs and movies, which was being displayed on their giant flat screen in the dining hall. If you're looking for delicious food without much concern for ambiance then this is the place to go but if you're offended by Indian movies etc. then this may not be the ideal place for you to visit.
Overall very nice, clean and well maintained restaurant. Posted on August 2, 2010 |

★★★★★ I am from anjuman-e-meelad-e-imam-ul-anbiya . I did 2 programs so far all from Mughal restaurant in may and June. i am doing it every second Wednesday, next one is July 14 and mashallah we are expecting over 150 people in the next one . The banquet hall is so beautiful and is separate for genders. . they are 100% zabiha halal supplied by sattar bhai and served delicious by Tahir bhai with his Mughal taste. i invite all brothers and sisters to come in our program and a good future place to do a party.its up to 200 people and a good place for religious programs and meetings. I recommend this place to all Posted on June 22, 2010 |

★★★★★ We had a graduation party of 120 people in Tahir Bhai banquet hall. We were very pleased as the hall was huge and very beautiful there was also no problem with parking . When the food was served, it was amazing with its original Hyderabadi taste that reminded me of home . my experience was very enjoyable and I highly recommend that you should have your parties here to. ★★★★★ We came from Nevada to visit Disneyland and we stayed at the Sheraton park hotel. I still remember, we found Mughal Halal Tandoori restaurant to be the closest halal restaurant. We tried their nihari , lamb paya ,qorma and haleem. We ordered some food for our children from the daily special which included the children broast with fries and also burger with fries. The children and I were delighted to be able to eat Pakistani food and American style food and American style food on the same table. We visited many times before leaving and I recommend this restaurant to everyone who wants to eat high quality food. Posted on June 22, 2010 |

★★★★★ Excellent Food and Great Service - Tahir is owner of this place who worked once at other major Desi food places. Tahir is Great cook and he and his staff REALLY take cares of their guest.
I am not sure where liyakat43 went and sharing his experience, I can bet that it can't be Mughal Tandoori. AlHamdolillah - it is nice to have clean and great food place. Posted on May 30, 2010 |

★☆☆☆☆ I went there after reading the reviews here. I found the restaurant very dirty. Smells very bad. The plates were dirty and staff laughed when i ask them to give me another plate. Food was cold. I dont think I am going to go there again. Posted on May 24, 2010 |

★★★★★ Salam ALaikum all. I went to this place based on what some of the reviews had said and thought I'd try it out. Went with 3 friends yesterday. Walked in and were greeted and seated. I didnt even know there was a buffet and so we were told the buffet is ready or you can order from menu.
At first I was weary of the buffet as many other desi buffets just bottom feed you stuff and really isnt worth it. THIS buffet on the other hand was loaded to the top with Biryani and 2 other kinds of rice, beef kabobs, chicken tikka karahi and several other veggie dishes as well as 2 other meat dishes, tandoori chicken , about 3 sweet dishes and of course milk tea hot and ready.. Plus u get naan and free refill on sodas all for the same buffet price.. 7.95 i think it was.
The food was ridiculously good. Tikka karahi had so much butter you could taste it... biryani had so much meat you had to struggle to find rice in the buffet where as in most other buffets you have to struggle to find meat haha.
All in all it was excellent and I will be taking my family there. Definitely a keeper. I dont think I'l be taking my business for desi food anywhere else as all other places ive been to are either too pricey but good or too low quallity but low in price.. this one is just right. Perfect. Hope everyone enjoys it as much as we did. Very delightful host always smiling and asking if we needed anything. Alhumdulillah. Posted on May 23, 2010 |

★★★★★ I normally don't write reviews but I guess this time it's a must Do. We 3 friends went CA on our Medicine conference with our families. Of course, right after checking in, started searching for Desi Halal and it showed Noorani at first number. One of my friend while he was coming here, had the recommendation about that as well, so we went there. Food was below.. Or way below average and so was the service. We didn't know where to go for next meal even sitting on table, I googled Zabihah again & it showed this place of which we didn't have any clue. My friends were a little Iffy.. But I said I wud go anywhere but Noorani. They smiled and agreed to try this one. What to say next... Food , service, place & ESP the admin everything is simply outstanding. Rest of whole week while visiting LA, Disney, Hollywood etc, eating was only one place.. Period. I have gone VA, NY, Chicago but this cook has taste in his hands. Both dessert & other menu ESP their tea ,, so good. Though in the middle, just to change the taste , we tried Halal Chinese as well but this one was always coming back home. Posted on May 18, 2010 |

★★★★★ The first time i went to the mughal restaurant... i ordered the neahari paya, qorma, and in the BBQ i ordered malie chicken.I feel like I'm back in pakistan again...the food was really delicious and it was an experiance never to forget...When i first saw the banquet hall...it was really classy and it also had the capacity of 200 people.at the end of the dinner I met Tahir Bhai, my well known friend, i was surprised to know that he is the owner and main chef...how fasinating..thats was probably why the food was so tasty...i recommand you to try their food...and use there brand new banquet hall for private parties!
