HALAL SUMMARY
The staff of this restaurant has verbally confirmed halal status.
★★★★★ I didn't know such a great restaurant existed in the downtown. The seating area is very decent and clean, it's one of the best seating of halal restaurants I have tried. I took the Hamburger, it was amazing, one of the best hamburgers I ever had in a restaurant, It's large size and juicy, one hamburger is enough to make you full and it's only $6.99.
It's not fully halal, they sell pork, but the woman assured me that they use a separate pan for it. The service is very nice.
I think it would be better if they put a Halal sign on the door and put a certificate of the authenticity of their zabiha, this will definitely bring more customers. Posted on October 12, 2011
★★★★☆ One of the very few places to get halal food in downtown Oakland. The burger and chicken fried sandwich are both very good, but the food always takes a long time to cook. Posted on September 30, 2011
★★★★★ What a great find! A friend took us to this place after a late program and we came in through the door at 9:00 which was closing time. The owner was very kind and ushered us in anyway.
I ordered Hamburger with fries and my friends ordered the pesto chicken sandwich and fried chicken sandwich.
YUMMMMM! The burger was juicy and delicious and the fries (and i'm a huge fry snob) was perfectly crunch. My friends's sandwich looked super yummy too! Our waitress also offered us a spicy salsa which complemented the meals perfectly.
Also on the menu was lasagna, spaghetti bolognese, meatball sandwich and much more! All which I want to come back and try! Also they open for breakfast at 7 am!
And we got a verbal assurance by the owner that this ALL the meat is halal! Posted on April 27, 2011
