NR The place is now closed - replaced with JASMINE GARDEN RESTAURANT - with partial halal menu and a much, much better decor! Posted on May 5, 2014 |

★★★★☆ Good food but my rice was dry because it wasn't one of the commonly ordered rice dishes I think. The lamb I had was beautifully tender but pretty fatty as well. Big dining hall. Child friendly. Not really expensive. A place to go sometimes. Posted on April 19, 2011 |

★★★★★ When we visited this place we didn't see the halal certificate on display but we got assurance from the staff. Excellent food. Definitely recommended. Posted on December 24, 2006 |

★★★★☆ My hats off to this place.. I really enjoy the Kebabs at this place.. If you go with someone, get the Kebab plate for 2, and it comes with 3 skewers of different kebabs, and a tonne of rice. Make sure you mix a little butter in the rice, and ask for chopped onions on the side.
I wish the prices were a little lower, otherwise, no complaints with this restaurant. Posted on September 20, 2005 |

★★★★★ The food is excellent. I had the PCX combo, which is one skewer of chicken kebab and one of barg (sirloin beef) kebab. That was a little pricey, but understandable because the ingredients are expensive. My friends had the vaziri plate (chicken kebab and ground beef kebab) which was much more affordable and just as good. Would definitely recommend it. Posted on June 21, 2005 |

★★★★★ Although I am not a 'sophisticated' Persian food critic, I must say that the portions are huge, the food tastes great, and the price is a bargain. This review would have been longer but I decided to go there now.... Posted on August 21, 2004 |

★★★★★ I've also tried Persian Cuisine Express and found it to be excellent. What a great alternative for those wanting some homestyle Persian/Middle Eastern cooking in Ottawa..and for very reasonable prices too. Posted on January 20, 2003 |

★★★★★ Conveniently located right in the heart of downtown Ottawa, Persian Cuisine Express serves extremely delicious, healthy, and hearty Persian and non-Persian cuisine, at extremely reasonable prices. The portions are gigantic too. Yummy accompaniments, such as fresh pita bread and salad, are complimentary. All the staff members are super hospitable and friendly, and do an excellent job of keeping the restaurant super clean; one can even see his/her own reflection on the tables and floors. One also feels right at home at Persian Cuisine Express. This wonderful restaurant features a gigantic-sized dining hall. I personally had the utmost pleasure in savoring the sumptuous Vaziri kebob plate, with mouth-watering chicken and beef kebob portions, chargrilled to perfection, along with a refreshing Persian Salad Mix. The great cuisine, excellent service, and palatial setting make me feel like a King, but at extremely reasonable prices. I am happy and proud to have started being a regular patron at Persian Cuisine Express. Cheers to Happy Healthy Hearty Tasty Yummy Eating! Posted on November 25, 2002 |
