★★★☆☆ I visited this place a while ago but it is now called Terra. Since then, I can not confirm its zabihah status.
The food was ok and its a buffet but I prefer Andalous down the road. Posted on July 8, 2013 |
The name changed but the owners are the same. We've updated the listing. |

★☆☆☆☆ Nah. If you want Arab food on MacArthur go to Andalous or put $10 in your gas tank and head to Z grill in Plano or Deans in Richardson. Fishstickeater knows best!! Posted on June 8, 2013 |

★★☆☆☆ Visited the restaurant a few years back. The food was good but way to pricey. I feel like this 'Mediterranean' is just an American restaurant with mediterranean food. No cultural feel to it, and I am afraid this place is no longer halal, through word of mouth. Posted on January 14, 2013 |

NR I'm very concerned about the halal confirmation here at Ali Baba. Staffs are not Muslim and hence their verbal confirmation is questionable. Did anyone contact the owner about it and does anyone know if the owner is Muslim. Zabihah do you have the updated information?
In reply to Zabihah..
A lot of the customers take restaurant halal if they see it in zabihah. I believe its Zabihah's responsibility to confirm halal before they post restaurant in the website. Hope zabihah understands the magnitude of this responsibility. How does zabihah states a restaurant hala is important. Like I mentioned earlier a non-muslim staff of a restaurant doesn't understand what halal means for a muslim customer. Brothers and Sisters please be aware.
I emailed info@alibabamedgrill.com several days ago regarding the authenticity of the halal meat. No one replied... I won't die if I don't eat at Alibaba.. At least I'm not being cheated.. Question is, can we take them to court for their halal claim? Posted on October 12, 2012 |
We do not - can other customers confirm the Halal status for us?
We do try to contact each establishment and take other measures to confirm halal status, but we are primarily dependent on our users for information. As we do not charge either restaurants or users, our ability to confirm definitively is limited. Thanks for understanding. |

★☆☆☆☆ I went to Ali baba Richardson last week and found out that they don't serve halal any more - only one dish they said is halal... they have start adding WINE in few dishes as well.
They have also modified their menu and increased the prices by $2-$3 ...
I would suggest Zabihah team to call this restaurant to verify halal menu - if they are not surving halal please remove them from your website... Posted on March 28, 2011 |
