★★★★★ This was a great experience for me. I am impressed by their wide variety of food. I had the ginger beef and it was so good! The best ginger beef I have had in the city! Try the chili chicken, it is definitely a must try and you can ask for a spice level that is altered to you:) My husband had the biryani and he said it was comparable to his moms! This will definitely be our new friday night date spot :) I have been to many places in the city and I feel it's not too crowded and the people are very friendly. Posted on April 1, 2012
★☆☆☆☆ This joint has opened in the West End last year and does not have much competition as there are not too many halal places in West Edmonton. I went to order some food in the takeaway. The first impression I got when I enetered was that of a very poorly organized establishment. There is just enough space for four small tables if you want to eat there. There was no customer besides me at that time. One of the table was absolutely filthy. When placing my order I made it clear that I am in a hurry and was reassured that the order will be ready in 20 minutes. There was only one person working to work both the cash register and being the cook. He struggled for twenty minutes with the cash register just to come up with the total price of my order. At the end I had to sum it up for him. Then he could not figure out the GST. On an order of $ 70 he was coming up with a GST of $ 296. Anyway it took 50 minutes to prepare my order5 and by that time I was very late for an appointment. He did not even aplogise for bening so late with the order, Absolutely the worsy customer service that I encountered at an eating place in Canada. As far as the food I ordered was concerned, the Naans were almost burnt and extremly dry as pappadums. Chicken biryan was just random chicken gravy mixed with rice. Beef ginger needed teeth of a dinosaur if you wanted to chew extremly hard beef. Chicken Chilli was chicken with some masala floating in lots of oil. So the food matched the terrible service they provide. The only advantage the place has is the location as it is in the same strip mall as Rahma Mosque. In my opinion this place is not going to survive for long if they do not make a herculian effort to imprive the service, decor and food quality.
The only thing that I can recomment is to keep away from this place for the time being. Posted on March 15, 2012
