★☆☆☆☆ I've been going to China Grill for years and it has slowly lost its appeal. Food is pretty bland, uninteresting. In last year or 2 seems like some food portions have dropped up to 50%. Even service has dropped. Pity- i used to like the place.
Dont think i ll be going there again. Posted on November 27, 2010 |

★★★☆☆ good food took quite a while for the food to come resonably price Posted on May 8, 2010 |

★☆☆☆☆ Horrible place, food is basically warmed up in a microwave.... Dont even bother, you get what you pay for. Posted on May 7, 2010 |

★★☆☆☆ Horrible, horrible, horrible.
Pina Colada was basically full fat milk with a hint of pineapple and some dessicated coconut on the rim of the glass - nasty.
The food was suspiciously horrible for the most part.
The lamb dishes tatsed like the meat had gone off; the chicken was uninspiring; the prawns looked malnutritioned.
We had a variety of dishes and the only thing that was any good was just the simple plain chow mein (noodles with beansprouts); everything was simply awful.
The egg fried rice was in fact boiled rice with some egg yolk (not fully boiled) chucked in.
I think this is possibly the worst meal we have had in the last 10 years; even worse than Tinseltown which was my previous worst experience. Posted on May 9, 2008 |

★★★☆☆ I have been a regular customer of China Grill for almost 4 years now. Their lunchtime special menu is a good bargain, which they used to do 12-4 from mon-sat, now only mon-fri. The chicken satay is delicious and comes with a delicious peanut sauce, and the chicken chow mein is very tasty along with the soups, and the portions are big. However the service is very poor, you have to leave your seat and go to the counter to request service. The takeaway is a good option and is fast, however there is one waitress which refuses to give Soy Sauce with the takeaway (ridiculous or what!? since it is served at the table if you eat in) and she makes rude comments about peoples ethnicity. ★★★★★ Not too pricey, but food piping hot and soups are really good. Overall food is great, but service slow. It is chinese with spices which is nice. No alcohol on site and we will visit again!!! Posted on December 12, 2006 |

NR Slightly overpriced. Do not go for the house special noodles...which is basically curried noodles.but rest of the chinese menu is fine and tasty.
The spicy chicken wings are really nice.
Seating is standard....seats about 30-40 ppl. Posted on April 26, 2006 |

★★★☆☆ Although the atmosphere is different from other chinese restaurants, The food is genuinely oriental. Try the lemon chicken with steam rice with great tasting Evoca Cola drink. Posted on February 20, 2006 |

★★★★☆ I think their food is pretty good but seems quite processed and ready made, however it always come piping hot and nicely presented; their peri peri chicken is actually much nicer than Nando's though and is an undiscovered gem by most of their customers. Their soups are also really nice and very more-ish. Overall the service is really good. The only problem I find with china grill is when big parties book, now it isn't their fault as they are only a small establishment but all the service tends to go to the large party and the other customers don't get as much attention; I found this when I took my (non Muslim) relatives there to eat, although apart from this (we waited ages on the chips and when they came; they were cold) they really liked it. The juices are really nice although the mango milkshake tastes more like it is made with soya milk or something. Posted on December 29, 2004 |

★★★★★ This is the most tastiest halal chinese i have tried in london, possibly one the finest. service was excellent, food piping hot and fresh and the price was very reasonable. we were there on Eid day and a family group of 20+ peoples and they all enjoyed the food. Posted on May 20, 2004 |

★★★☆☆ Even though they have knocked thier prices down the food leaves much to be desired. This is at least with the Chinese menu, I have not tried out the other dishes though. Posted on April 21, 2004 |
