★★☆☆☆ The food quality was really sub standard. Their chicken tikka leg quarter pieces were so small that it looked like some bird or chicks leg quarters. Seekh kabab and behari kabab were so so spicy that you would loose taste of the food. The owner mentioned that every thing will remind you of Bundu Khan but I know they are not that spicy. The serving size is very small. The prices are very expensive considering the portion size. We spend $30 for 2 people but still both were hungry but didn't want to order more as it was so spicy. Also the place is really small. Good for takeout, not so good for sitdown. Posted on April 26, 2013 |

★★★★☆ We were a party of about 40 including kids, so that covered pretty much entire space inside. We ordered many items from the menu, behari kababs, behari boti in beef/chicken was very good and so was green chicken and malai boti etc. Parathas are just like Bundu khan, naans are soft and fluffy. Seekh kabab was very spicy and chicken tikka was raw, may be because it was big order and they brought the items pretty quickly (within 30-35 minutes). The owners are nice and service is good, they gave us complimentary Suji Halwa. Prices are a bit higher as compared to quantity, it is true BBQ invlovles effort and time, that could be the reason for lesser quantity, i am sure they will learn with time, for now they should focus on quality. We will definately go back soon. Posted on February 20, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ I had high expectations of this place. Been wanting to go try for some time now. Finally went the other week night. Ordered Bihari kabab roll, which was just bihari and lacking kabab in it, ok I lied, there was a little bit of it. Ordered lamb biryani (wanted chicken biryani but lamb is all they had), what came out looked 'odd' for the price tag of whopping $12.99.. It was clearly couple of days old and seemingly a mixture of aome left over curry and rice. Also Ordered chicken nuggets and fries for kids, nuggets were the only thing that were freshly made, about right size for the price, 4 pieces for 3.99 I think. Fries were fresh too but had old oily smell. Overall place is clean and had aome pick-up order traffic while we stayed there for about an hour or so. So, Here you have it BBQ village. I won't be coming back unless all other places in surrounding areas are closed for one reason or another. Good luck to ya. Posted on April 12, 2014 |

★★★☆☆ Went there around lunch time, on a Saturday, And no one was there. Litterelly the emptiest restaurant I have walked in. But, I said why not give it a try, since it was the first time at this place.
Customer Service was fine, no problems there.
Price was slightly high for the quantity.
Now for the taste of the food, My family ordered 1 Seekh Kabob, & And 1 Butter Chicken.
The Seekh Kabob was SUPER Spicy, so it was hard to taste the flavor. Only reason I liked this restaurant was because of the Butter Chicken. The Owners did them self good to ask if we wanted the Butter Chicken mild or Spicy.
All in All the restaurant does not have much choices, but the Butter Chicken was Delicious.
Will return again to try other item, and will try the butter chicken again to see if they are consistent. Posted on April 7, 2014 |

★★★★★ Recommended to us by few people, but prices kept me away. Finally, we tried them and now we can't stop going back! Best dishes bihari kebab, malai boti and biryani (first two are guaranteed to please, biryani has been hit and miss)! Management is nice. Place and decor is ok--but we don't go for the decor! The food will literally MELT in your mouth! Posted on March 28, 2014 |

★★★★☆ I came here from a recommendation from friend. It's a nice little place. Nothing spectacular. Food was good but not the best I had. The green chicken was quite spicy I must admit. I'm a fan of khan BBQ on Devon, they both have similar styles but I would choose khan BBQ. I wouldn't mind coming back and trying other dishes though. Posted on December 5, 2013 |

★★★★★ Nice place, excellent taste. They have to really advertise this place more. Best Desi food outside of Chicago. Don't waste time your time at shahi nehari. Posted on December 3, 2013 |

★★★★★ THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! If any of you have ever been to Meerat, Bandu Khan, or The Village in Karachi, the BBQ here is exactly like it, even down to the parathas. I did not expect much when going here the first time, but I must say, this place has better BBQ than Usmania/Sabri/Shahi/any place in Devon. Very impressed. The behari kabab is awesome. If you are looking for amazing food, this is the place to go. I have lived in Chicago for about 30 years, and this is one of the best reviews I have had for a restaurant hands down. ★★★★★ Excellent food. I think people who have forgotten the original taste might call it 'too spicy', but to us, it seemed very authentic. Service level was very good. Time expectations for preparation were as promised. Price is a little bit higher for portions, but for this taste I would pay for it.
Highly recommended. Posted on August 1, 2013 |

★★★★★ Excellent food!!! Most authentic Karachi style food. The only place in Chicago to serve puri paratha with all their BBQ items! Posted on July 24, 2013 |

★★★★☆ My dad and I visited this place after hearing about it from some family members. We offered the combo plate 2 naan and 1 paratha and it was more than enough for 2 people. I am not sure what everyone is complaining about for the prices we paid about $22 for 2 people which isn't bad and the food was pretty good I was surprised. The Chicken Tikka, Boti, and Seekh Kabobs had just the right flavoring and spices. We will definitely visit if we are in the area again! Posted on June 21, 2013 |

★★★☆☆ Food was Ok overall. Parathas & checken Tikkas were good, but as the cook is experimenting himself he had forgot to put salt in behari kababs. With less than ordinary decor and crockery and low overheads with one person cooking, serving and handling register the place is highly overpriced. The dishes should be at least $ 2 cheaper. Can of soda which costs them $0.25 being charged at $ 1.50 is exorbitant. Posted on May 14, 2013 |

★★★★★ The best chicken tikka, bihari kabaab (both chicken and beef, especially the later) seekh babaab that I had tried in this country. Reminded me of Bundu Khan when tried them with paratha. The menu list is short, a bit pricey but totally worth it. Very clean place, friendly service, relatively quick for fresh bbq items. Recommended. Posted on April 14, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Loved the food. The chicken tikka had an authentic Pakistani taste to it ... the bihari boti role and the garlic mayo role were fantastic. Our waiter and the owner were very pleasant. You should definitely try this place. Posted on March 10, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Small restaurant. Average seats, tables. plates and cutlery. Unfortunate, as they started new. Small all BBQ menu. Malai boti and other entree excellent. Paratha original. Quantity small, quite expensive in comparison. Posted on February 26, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Good food but very expensive. Posted on February 18, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Food was good though not exactly BBQ. It seems that they semi-boil the stuff so that its easier & quicker to grill when the guests order. Also a bit on the pricey side. The staff is friendly.
Worth a try. Posted on February 18, 2013 |
