NR A new concept offering a customized menu based on your preference. Posted on July 7, 2014 |

★★★☆☆ Not bad but nothing special. The burgers aren't too good. Everything else is hit or miss. Makes me miss Pita Grill. But at least it's super close to the Irvine Mosque. Posted on October 19, 2013 |

★★★☆☆ The lamb shawarma is at best a cross betwen shawarma and fajita wrap. It is more towards on Salty side. Not recommeded.
The Gola Kabab is OK. And so is the Nan. But nothing special. Posted on October 10, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Lamb shawarma yummy
Chicken shawarma also good but lb is juicy and tasty :) Posted on August 31, 2013 |

★★☆☆☆ I wanted to support this place but cannot. The food extremely salty and I am the kind that likes its food salty, so imagine how salty it must be. The burgers were horrible full of hard artery chunks, yes you read it right. My friends and I kept putting our hands in our mouths to take out cartridges and bone slivers from between our teeth. Sadly, every time I go there the quality and service goes down. I feel that the owner needs to be more involved and improve the quality. I was there two weeks ago and the place looked messed up. I took the employee aside and told him that they need to clean the tables and floors so customers want to come back. His reply was that they finished the lunch rush a few hours ago. It was five pm! ★★★★☆ I honestly haven't had any complaints from the few times I've been here. The food is halal and the place is clean. I would suggest calling ahead for a carry out though. I do prefer the chicken dishes over some others. The burger was alright, nothing too special but it did quench my craving. I don't think it's fair to compare some of the dishes here to other non halal places.
The workers could use a little training in attitude...but then again I've noted people from the Muslim community can come off as rude/demanding at times. Posted on February 16, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ I was excited to have a halal restaurant close to home. The food takes so long to arrive I don't remember what it tastes like since I scarf it all down within minutes.
One time I even called ahead to make sure it'd be ready when I arrived but it took an additional 45 minutes for them to prepare it.
I will not be going here again nor would I recommend it to anybody else.
Get it together people! Posted on January 10, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ For this review, I shall remark on two occasions I visited this food establishment.
Day #1
I found this restaurant conveniently located very close to the Masjid.
Inside a very modern looking restaurant with a pictures of food carts from around the world, a few tables and even an old-world sitting area.
The menu curiously had both eastern (kabobs, biryani, shawarma) as well as western (hamburger, hot dogs, rotisserie chicken) options. Very promising at first glance.
I was met with a very stoic "May I help you?", not enthusiastic, not welcoming at all. I ordered the barbeque chicken and sat down anticipating my lunch.
To pass time I watched CNN on the television with a keen eye on the clock at the bottom right of the screen. 20 minutes passed , I became more anxious as my hunger grew, I joked to a person sitting next to me "with each minute the food tastes better"... 20 more minutes passed and I feel a burning sensation in my stomach and I began to massage my head feeling agitated. No communication by the staff at how long the food will take, nor any offer for water...
After 45 minutes total of waiting after ordering, I was presented with a plate of BBQ Wings. I sighed and stared at my pile of chicken, giving a quick prayer of gratitutde, I ate my first wing.
The sauce was tangy and nothing more. No extra dimension of flavor. The chicken itself was quite small (although to be fair they were wings), but the meat was dry and definitely overcooked. Disappointed I thought perhaps I chose the wrong dish on the wrong day....
Day #2:
2 Months later, I give this place another chance after going to Jummah (going to the Masjid puts you in a forgiving attitude).
Same stoic, jaded "May I help you?", this time with the associate having both hands on the table as if I was hassling him, terrible body language. I elected to choose the Rotisserie Chicken. This time I was told "It's going to take 15 mins", I smiled and sat down, a bit more hopeful...
45 Minutes pass, and history repeats itself, this time I asked for my money back before the dish was served. I asked if my order was even started and they had indicated it had not! I got my money back, a moral victory for the customer, a pyrrhic victory for the stomach...
Bad Service, Understaffed Restaurant, with Mediocre Food. Simply put, this was an awful experience...
I would not wish hunger on my worst enemy.
Advice: Hire More Employees, Expedite Food More Efficiently, and be Customer Centric. Posted on December 30, 2012 |

★★★★★ I tried this place after the imam in the masjid Islamic Circle of Irvine recommended this place. I've to admit it was amazing! I don't know what other people are saying but the food was soooo delicious and I'm from NY and try so many others restaurants so I know what good food is like. The workers are very friendly. They didn't have the beef kabob which I found out after I placed the order but I asked them to replace the beef portion with gyro and they kindly did that for me. Posted on December 12, 2012 |

★☆☆☆☆ I really wanted to like this place. I have to agree with the previous reviewers. The food is either burnt to a crisp or undercooked. I have personally spoke with the owner on 3 separate occasions and voiced my concerns. She was very friendly, and said she would look into it. But nothing changed. Burger patties and Kabobs were burnt to a crisp on 2 occasions. The third time I told the cashier I wanted it cooked medium and it was almost raw. I will not be going back, and would not recommend this place to anyone Posted on November 9, 2012 |

★☆☆☆☆ I have been to Gourmet Grill Masters on multiple occasions and after being disappointed for the past three visits I will not ever go back there again. My food has either been burnt or raw. I wanted to give my fellow Muslim Bro/Sis support in there restaurant venture but I am tired of being disappointed over and over again Posted on September 3, 2012 |

★☆☆☆☆ Alright so i went to this place a couple times and my food was good, but not great. First thing first, i was not greeted at ALL. no one even acknowledged me. I work in retail, and being greeted is an appointment part. so i was alrady and bit annoyed. So, i ordered a burger and a side order. I watched tv as my food was being ordered... I took my food to go, because i had to leave. Next thing you know i open my box and my burger is burnt and dried!!!! And the entire thing looks like its dipped in mustard!!!! i like mustard, but not to the point where its like a MUSTARD POOL. i was so hungry and disappointed. I only eat halal, and its sucks to know our own muslims cant even give customer service and decent food. Posted on August 24, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ I have been here 4-5 times. It is in a convenient location close to the Irvine masjid. They have a nice selection of menu items ranging from hamburgers and hot dogs to kabobs, shawerma and biryani. Biryani is only available on Friday's I believe. Food is pretty good. But the last 2 times I went I ordered kabobs and they were burnt to the point they were not edible (like charcoal). The owner who seems like a nice lady did replace it for me. When you go expect at least a 20-30 minute wait for your food and make it a point to tell the cashier not to overcook your food. May Allah grant the owner success. It is nice to have a halal place to go eat after Jumah namaz. I will keep going, but I really hope they improve their speed and learn not to burn their kabobs. Posted on August 11, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ I have been there a few times and the quality has dipped every time i go there. Initially i really liked the chicken shwarma, but the last time i went there it was very bland. I wanted to make it spicy but they were out of hot sauce. I think that the ownership changed hands as well since the owner i saw initially has never been seen in the last few trips. ★★★☆☆ The food is good.. good location...hot dog and burger is good... the beef kabob is excellent... biryani is ok.. The service is very slow... you might have to have 20-30 mins to get your food... Posted on June 23, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ My first visit here is going to be my last unless the guys working behind the counter can actually master the art of grilling!
The presentation of the good was great, for example the chicken tikka, served over fresh greens, on pita bread, topped with a yogurt sauce.
But..the chicken was charred. Our hamburger was charred. Everything that went on the grill was crispy and burnt in places. :(
I wanted to send an email to the owner, but haven't had a chance, so perhaps someone here can pass the advice along if you have the same experience.
I think the place has a lot of potential, but the guys working there, who are just hired help, not the owners, need more training. I think they had just opened though, so perhaps things have improved?
On the other hand, they were really nice about adjusting some other things in our order. For example, I didn't know the chicken tikka came with the yogurt sauce (there are no descriptions on the menu) and my daughter doesn't like that - so they gladly replaced it free of charge.
The environment is fine, just depends on what is playing on the TV to make sure it's not inappropriate for Muslims, or at least kids. Even commercials on regular tv in evenings can be violent or inappropriate.
Based on others good comments, I may give it another go when I'm in the area. Posted on April 10, 2012 |

★★★★★ Very convenient place near ICOI to get tasty halal food, including Rotisserie Chicken, and other stuff. The chicken shwawerma wrap (spicy) is so good!
This place will improve as time rolls on inshaAllah. If they work on speed, this place will be even better. Love the naan btw. Posted on November 16, 2011 |

★★★☆☆ Have been to this spot twice and both times my overall impression was the same.
Service - 4 Stars
Both times the owners were very friendly and made sure that we were satisfied. If its not busy they will even bring your food to your table.
Ambiance/Cleanliness - 4 Stars
Place is decorated in a simple but nice manner, and it was very clean. Bathrooms were very clean as well.
Food - 3 Stars
Qaulity of the food was good.
1/2 chicken was juicy and tastes good
Garlic/rosemary potatoes taste good
Hummus was decent but not served with any bread
Street fries were just french fries with beans on top (not chilli). the beans were not very good.
Hambergers were big but i wouldnt call them burgers. more inclined to call them bun kabob.
i have yet to try the indo/pak or arabic food (except hummus) Posted on November 2, 2011 |

★★★★☆ This a nice, well maintained, halal dining place very close to ICOI.
We sampled their kebob plates and were very pleased with the food quality, taste, portion and pricing. Customer serice was also quiet good. Check it out if you're in the area. Posted on October 31, 2011 |

★★★★★ A new halal place in Irvine. It opened oct 14 2011, and I took my family on their grand opening. The food, the service is exceptional! Irvine Muslim community had everything, but a good halal place and now this place has completed that too! I highly recommend , try their grill and food hot off clay oven. The owners are nice muslims and active in community. Posted on October 14, 2011 |
