★★★★★ I ordered the Kabli palow with chicken and my wife ordered the regular grilled chicken with rice and both absolutely loved the food! It's so hard to find good Afghani food. Unfortunately, they don't carry lamb because they're still looking for a good source. But for what it is, it's very tasty, good portions at a very affordable price. Whenever I'm in town, I will be stopping by. May Allah give them success in their business. Posted on February 16, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Excellent food, the owner is nice and friendly, my kids are his daily customers and recommended this place.
He was very co operative and reasonable when it came to ordering Iftaar dinners for our masjid in Norwalk (everyone loved the kabobs and the afghan bread and of course the tasty rice)
Food was ready on time and he even added the dessert at his own cost for 150 people, I thought that was very thoughtful of him. In conversing with him he did mention that people have been ordering food in the name of the masjid for their own parties.
I think that is very unislamic and down dirty. My Allah give everyone hidaya, do visit this place you will not repent. Posted on August 27, 2013 |

★★★★★ Salamunalaikum.
First off, I would like whoever it is that reads this review to please understand that I am a very objective person and am in no way making an effort to praise or demoralize any review that I have seen on here about Kabob Express.. From the experience of my family and I, and that fact that I eat here almost every single day, I can quite confidently say that Kabob Express is THE best location for a practicing Muslim to eat, hands down. The variety and freshness of the food is unmatched. The Chicken Shish and Lamb Shish (yes, they have found a 100% zabiha halal supplier for the lamb) are so tender that they almost melt in your mouth. The fast food selections are always made fresh, the portions are large, and the Tilapia fish is the tastiest I've ever had. I have tried everything from the menu and there really is nothing on there that I wouldn't recommend to a friend. If it was possible, I would give them a 6/5 rating, but that would be an improper fraction and throw off the balance of the software :) .. Kabib Express is the place to be! (SIDE NOTE) I have recently found out that they are expanding the store, doubling it's size, while keeping the same location. This will provide a mich better atmosphere to bring your family, or a group of large friends to dine in and enjoy their delicious food, hot and fresh! Posted on May 1, 2013 |

★★★★★ I went to this small dine-in place which serves Halal fast food and Afghani cuisine. They display the sign and verbally declares that all the food is Halal.
I ordered Fried Tilapia which is doubtlessly the the best fired fish I have eaten in CT and it preserved the taste of the fish unlike many other restaurants where the fish tastes comes from the batter.
My wife ordered Beef Kabob and like all Afghani beef cuisines it was slightly high on spices, but it was tasty and nicely served over brown rice, bread, salad and sauces.
They have nice, clean but small dine-in place with only 3 tables that can accommodate up to 12 people. The best thing was the price as compared to food serving as you can see in their menu.
I recommend this place for its quality of food and price, but don't recommend it for a family dine-in experience which you get at Red Lobster or Olive Garden. Posted on November 3, 2012 |
