The staff of this restaurant has verbally confirmed halal status. Only lamb is halal, and then only sometimes - call to ask first before visiting.

NR I second Biddles review. I actually went to this establishment, and noticed it as a dance floor, with liqour being served. Certainly, that does not look very encouraging. I was tempted to say something, but, since I, myself added a handfull of restaurants which turned out not to be Halal, I said to myself, who am I to judge?. Then again, at least the falsely-halal restaurants I added, have made the EFFORT to look Halal, in the least bit (No liquor sold, or Pork on the menu, and a Muslim owner who promised Halal, with an "Alhamdulillah" on top!). This establishment is not even making the effort, or maybe, they don't know what Halal is, except it would net them Muslim customers. I would remove this establishment from the list. We've inquired and not received any replies yet. We're pulling the listing. |

★☆☆☆☆ I went to this restaurant based on the fact that it was listed on this site. This place is basically a bar.
When I entered and asked about the halal meat, they didn't know what it was until I explained.
**He said that SOMETIMES they get halal meat depending on the price.**
He said he wasn't sure if the meat he had was halal or not. He said he could not guarantee if the meat they had available was halal and was apologetic.
We left and went across the street to a Lebanese restaurant that was halal.
I dont know how this restaurant got listed here. It's a Mexican bar that also serves as a restaurant during the day. In my opinion, I believe this restaurant should be removed from zabihah.com Posted on April 30, 2014 |
